As I pointed out several times already, since the monetization part of the game went into effect . (Current world), whenever "Open" beta starts the game WILL be launched as anyone can play it and paradox is already making money off of it. MMog's are never feature complete so yeah.

I'd even go so far as to say that since it seems that anyone can easily get a key now the game is ALREADY released. Sure would be nice if the features the game touted were actually in it. you know, Witchcraft, Alchemy, Creatures of the Lumberwoods. Instead it's just a ho hum colonial simulator. Basically "anything" to do that doesn't involve being ganked by retards or farming would be nice.

Uncle Troy speaks a valid point. I've been waiting on a genuinely interesting update since I hopped back in the game.

Yeah, we haven't had a substantial update since summoning was implemented.

This. There needs to be ALOT added and fixed to keep people playing.

We aren't in open beta yet?

Anyone can get into the game at any time and of this I could get as many alt accounts as I want in this "closed beta".
No reason why it shouldn't just be called open beta atm lol

Needs several big updates. Heavy advertising before the game is reasonably balanced would be counterproductive IMO.

Announcing Open Beta is a free publicity opportunity, I'm sure many MMO tracking websites will post a story on it when that happens. So I hope they wait until they're certain they have a game that won't instantly scare away new people. You can't tell me that most people won't call it quits when they spend tens of hours of building multiple walls and their first homestead only to have it completely razed in the time it takes for them to go out shopping. I don't think the whole "learn to deal with it or gtfo" is a healthy attitude. I would like a more permanent playerbase to interact with rather than the short burst of soon to quit players that OB now would introduce.

No point announcing open beta till they've completed more of the game. At the moment only the most masochistic gamers are having any fun from the game.

Surely there are more than 400 masochists in the world? :(
