BDO is a carebear game man. It's a stupid grind and coin game with no death consequence. What did you expect? lol

Its very simple. First, my definition of hardcore. The old mmo player that's willing to grind, fight, lose, and stick thru some flaws because they overall like the competition in the game.

These people are far outnumbered but the other people. I won't call them carebears, because that empires they don't want to fight. And many do, but not invest the time it takes that the hardcore players want.

When wow came out, it created a huge in Flux in non hardcore players. Now, they outnumber the hardcore. Since they have numbers, they are the 'money'.

Wow had an in Flux of counterstrike players, when this happened the game talked in my opinion. Raids were seen as too time consuming, because this group wants to log in and experience all of the game.

There are many games i like for different reasons. Very rarely does a dev make a decision i agree with 100%. I just chalked that up to creative differences. Lol

Games nowadays require massive numbers to justify the spending and most games just don't have a large staying power, because they try to appeal to too large a fan base.

I remember playing some game where if you died you lost experience and could even lose levels, but the losses were so negligible that it didn't matter.
"What are you doing, if you die you'll lose your experience!!"
"Whatever, not like I won't make it back by killing two or three common enemies."

you all forget here

the more carebear and non-pvp oriented, the easier it is to raid or kill them and loot all there items

Win:Win situation

And then they quit, leaving a ruin which I can come through and pick up the less valuable leftovers. I got lucky last night an found a bar of silver in an unclaimed crate outside providence along with a bunch of other stuff that got left behind when whoever owned the place had his claim stone knocked down. The place was fairly wrecked too, the fences were mostly gone and all the boxes and buildings were red.

I found a large destroyed base and everything that wasn't heavy had been looted. I went into the (old version) windmill and there was a woven basket with 9 teasels in it. :D

There are more 'care-bears' ['with cash to spend] than true PVP folks.

Games need cash to grow and placating this faction gives more content and opportunities for PVP to get easy kills.

Please do tell Dallane.

Cash is #1 reason Dev pay attention to anyone. (If it wasn't...there'd be no top 10... no perk for spending on game, etc.)

For the rest... I guess you're protected and just don't know?

How about... you ask JC or do research yourself... of all the top 10 in the history of this game... how many were carebears... with none or a single kill to their name?!

You're a mod with JC's or Meow's trust...surely you have access to that information?

Prove me wrong... share the percentage... just that... of those who have spent the most over the last decade.

Either way; you'll learn something you didn't know.
