Is there a way for us to have limited api keys like in Eve?

Because right now every poor little nublet who makes a little " looking for town post" is 99.9% tribe in my book.

^this. 100% the only reason being in a town is a death trap.

some way to tell what accounts and characters names are linked to your ip address just like in eve?

where you can actually vet someone?

Considering you and jorb have never played in a REAL town loftar, I wouldn't expect you to understand.

Because no matter how much background checking you do you can never know who you just invited to destroy your town.

I wasn't questioning the utility of your suggestion; I was just wondering what it is that you were suggesting at all, since your initial post didn't describe at all what functionality you actually suggested should be in the API. I haven't played EVE, so there's no need to be snide.

Judging, then, from your clarification that you want to be able to do IP matching, what you in fact want to do is to abolish anonymity in the game, right?

It can't be done with IP addresses, the only way it can be done is via credit card registration really.

All other methods I can think of can be circumvented.
