So, I was part of a stream of this game, with probably a couple dozen people at peak with over 100 people watching. We made a nice little camp over several hours; plenty of storage, leveling up skills, even started stuff like farmland and the like. Its getting late, so the streamer, and most of the people, slowly trickle out. I do a bit more scavenging for things, bring it back to the three or so people still at the base, then log out. No sooner than about 20 minutes after a message on the streamers forum pops up, and apparently some person thought it was a good idea to kill the people still around and destroy...well, more or less everything.
From reading the forums this is what I'm getting out of this; There is some silly 'treaty' thing going on that is more like a protection ring, where the people who are part of it kill people who are not? New people who hardly have any idea of what they are doing? If you really like the game so much that you get this much into it, tell me, what is the purpose of outright KILLING people who are still trying to figure out what to do, besides chase them away? Its like you want your favorite game to fail or something. I'd say you should be ashamed of yourselves, but I don't think it would affect you as...well, you're going along with this silly thing in the first place!
I'm not even sure how many of the couple dozen we had playing will even want to try now, knowing that there is something as toxic as that in the game. A possible influx of people crushed by some dumb, abusive 'treaty' that forces you to be with it or against it before you even know how to fight a cricket, let alone a high level player.
