Don't starve

Postby Lihz » Wed May 15, 2013 2:36 pm

Just wanted to point people in the general direction of this little pearl, Don't starve game. It has a lot of the fun survival factors you find in Salem, only a bit harder. Unfortunately it's only single player, but i had a couple of fun hours playing around with it.

There is a semi-recent thread about this already. Yes, it is fun.

Made a search for it and didn't find anything recent. But if it's already out there, feel free to lock thread.

Have to agree on that, have tried it some months ago and so far I liked it very much. The gameplay and the designs, graphics and creatures are just stunningly beautiful alltogether. My favourite creature is Grue depsite Klei doesn't own it.

I want them to own it.

Because ***** Zork.

However, the storyline for this game is somehow unique and fits this game well.

I advice you folks to play it. It is a very enjoyable game that adds some kind of feel that I can't really describe it at the moment.

You may thank us later afterwards.

Game was very fun but only for so long. I think salem could learn (STEAL) alot from it, altho I did wonder if they had played a seatribe game.

Don't starve makes me want a sandbox mmo without the endless grind salem has, and with more the constant fight for survival don't starve has.

This looks fun and spooky.

Just my two cents, but Salem could use more spooky. Where are the witches?

Adding witches right now would be terrible idea :| imagine large factions to offer you trade "let us curse your camp or we will kill you" just to get ability to fly, scout and track other people faster. If there will be some buffs from witchcrafting it will be abused too :/

As for don't starve I saw game play videos, looks nice, very interesting idea, like winter and different look for biomes, PvE may be boring after some time.
Is there multiplayer?
