hello, i was woundering how much Salem changed? Is 1 person still able to beat down 3 layers of stone walls and destroy an entire village when he plays for a longer time? are villages like "the tribe" still owning half of the server? is the game stable? i havent played it for around 2 years. Thank you in advance.

The game has changed a lot. There are quite a lot of factions in the servers some of which are quite powerful but none is as dominant as the Tribe was. One person is still able to beat down 3 layers of stone walls if his bile are high enough but most of the non movable buildings (smelters, stamp mills, houses, etc) can't be destroyed easily and requires a few days to be burned down to the ground (which gives you the chance to log in and extinguishing the fire). Moreover the brick wall is very sturdy and not easily destroyed by even veteran players. As for the stability of the game we do have some crashes now and then (the worse of it has passed as they were due to bugs in the Mining Patch) and there are lags now and then but nothing too serious. The new inventory system is very good and I am sure you should give it a try and see the multitude of changes by yourself.

im afraid to start again... i usually invest 2-3 weeks into it, build a base i like then wake up with everything gone... i love the game but it feels too easy to get ur defences down with them not limiting the Biles to a number where u have to have atlast 3-4 peopel to raid a base or stuff :/ ty for the info :)

Check pistolshrimp's guide. Build braziers and such. Or join a town. Go to the Ventrilo Chat. You need relations and business partnership in this game if you want to thrive instead of merely survive.

Haveing super high biles now no longer increases the damage you do to walls - it will take a player with 100 biles the same amount of time to knock down a stonehedge the same as a player with 1000 biles.
Do not argue with idiots, for they will pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Something you should know:
leave away from those dead guys in Boston (now called Providence), or may get Disease which can cause Permanently death (see http://www.salem-wiki.com/mediawiki/ind ... le=Disease)

Use the new wiki: http://www.salem-wiki.com

You will lose all your items/equipment/purse if you log out without a homestead/your leanto gets destroyed
