It has become nearly impossible to kill Animals

Since today's Patch, all small animals hop away once you get close to them, you can no longer attack them because they hop away as long as you are near them.

The only way i managed to kill anything today was with Bullrush (they hop away too before you hit them) and the animal accidently hopping in my direction.

Is this working as inteded ?

Just make a sling. After you hit them with a stone, they will atack as usual. You actually get a free hit.

What dageir said. Other area affecting attacks may work as well.

It has become nearly impossible to kill animals using the previous methods. That does not mean it is globally impossible, even for low humor/skilled character. The only thing that has changed is that you won't be able to simply walk up to an animal, find your hotkeys, and then thrust/uppercut. This ensures you are either utilizing other combat techniques OR the new ranged weaponry mechanic.
