Future development

Postby kwagam » Sun Feb 17, 2013 10:59 pm

Are there any development plans for this game? Couldn't find anything specific, maybe missed something...

I'm former h&h player, and i enjoy salem, a lot. Altho... If core mechanics will remain, and only minor things will be changed (guns / combat / some content added etc) this game probably won't be in very good shape. H&H was niche product, for fun. Salem pretending to be something bigger from what I know. But with perma death, and defense measures which reqs you to be online a lot, many people will be killed and rage quit. Only few strongest tribes will remain.

There is definitely a long way to go before Salem is anywhere near complete. If you watch some interviews with jorb & loftar they give some hints at things they've thought about for end content, but nothing is concrete. They're just winging it as they go, afaik.

There are no public plans layed out for us. If we get any sort of update it just happens.

It seems they have a lot planned, but nothing concrete and certainly nothing public; for example the whole update just the other day with being able to have wallpaper in your houses now rather than empty blackness. Players are constantly providing feedback on things that could be added and implemented, some seems to be heard while others are ignored. About the only thing we can say for sure is that they are far from done and having an end product.
