I laughed. You're so unlucky, man. You should blame yourself istead of this tough game. And it's not a game where you can go AFK without fear for your life. I'm serious, you should better logout and never go AFK, cuz you may be hit by a bear, a snake or got killed permanently by a nameless griefer. Thing to remember is that silver can be VERY easy to earn in game, but it takes a few hours of dedicated play time to learn the system. It won't be easy at first (as it shouldn't be), but within... say 12 hours of play time, you should be able to net 100 silver an hour fairly easily. That Writ of Homesteading you lost only costs 150 at the Company Store in town. With the exception of unique items (such as the clothing), this game really is free to play. Even then, you could grind enough silver to buy those sorts of things off someone.

Why do retards have to blame the game when they lose stuff for being retarded?

Seriously, if you were out in the wilds with your friend, you build a lean-to, you make it your homestead and then you can port to Boston (with your inventory) and port back to your friend (with your inventory). Salem isnt a game you just log in and follow the quest compass and the game plays for you.
