Yeah its been off the rails for some time. Thats one reason I stopped watching. I want to finish the books 1st then finish the show.

Another thing that was bothering me about the show is the red wedding. The song that plays is kind of a big deal. The lyrics for it tell about a house that grew stroner than the lannisters and sought to replace them and tywin destroyed them down to the literal dirt. When caitlyn hears this she knows that they are ***** b4 the bolts start flying.

I dunno there is just so much in the books that really make the world alive and you wanting more. I can't stress enough that people should read them.
