I encourage you to not use Wikipaedia as a source of political facts. Facts about which species of bird live in Guam, maybe, but not something volatile like this. Anyone can edit that article. You don't even know what their intentions or political leanings were.
It doesn't matter if the emails actually got out in the open. It matters that they could have and that some of them were sensitive.

What the ***** are you guys arguing? That we should ban all Muslims from Europe because .0001 of them might be homicidal or part of ISIS? I think it's a testament to Muslims in Europe that even this minuscule number isn't a reality of how many ISIS supporters there are in Europe.
I certainly think steps should be taken to stop such actions by such groups or individuals (though accusing 'gamers' of being a group that would advocate killing children is pretty stupid of you, those killings are often an issue of mental instability and teenage angst). Similarly, I think actions should be taken to keep dangerous terrorists from entering our country with the thorough background checks I mentioned before. They've been doing a good job so far and I simply thing they should be allowed to continue.
Claeyt wrote:This country has always and WILL always be a country of immigrants and refugees. An extremely small group of possible refugees supporting ISIS can not scare us into turning our back on the world or denying our history as a land of immigrants.
I'm not saying it should. I'm saying the numbers should not be increased past our ability to absorb them.
Claeyt wrote:We have been a nation of immigrants for our entire history. The continuous malignant tumor of racism, intolerance and bigotry has forever grown and showed it's hatred every once in awhile. It's certainly erupting all over the face of America now with Trump's continuous bile. Immigration has been an absolute necessity of our country for generations to make us the fresh and new place that we treasure. We would become stale and our culture would become inbred without it. Racism in the early centuries, Communist bashing after WWII and now fear of Hispanics and Muslims is leading us down the dark path of fascism.
The fact that we have so many immigrants and differing cultures is at the core of why we have so many social conflicts. This is a very, very complicated subject that would pretty much need it's own thread to really talk about. So here I'll just address that last part and say that I disagree that immigration is necessary to our culture and that, indeed, having too many groups clustering together, clinging to the cultures and languages of the countries they came from, is actually making things much worse for our social balance. I'm not saying stop immigration, but your claim that our culture would become 'stale' is untrue, the world is far too interconnected for us to not get plenty of input from it.

These groups (White Supremacists, Border Militia's and the KKK) have been organizing groups of campaign volunteers, group bus rides to his rallies and most recently "volunteer security groups" for his rallies. This is not some small thing by one person.
Well, more power to them, I guess. They have every right to support whoever they want. So long as they're not doing anything illegal, and you haven't said they are, let them express their discontent in this fairly healthy way of supporting a presidential candidate.
Claeyt wrote:Only when you stop ***** dogs.
Okay, that's enough now. I understand you think it's fun to accuse me of bestiality because you know it's very offensive, but I really have to ask you to stop. Can't you try to be civil?
Claeyt wrote:[The Civil Rights Act] doesn't cover volunteers.
I'd love to see you back this opinion up with an actual source.
Claeyt wrote:If someone's social activities include a history of lynchings, church bombings and violence towards black people, then yes... yes they can be discriminated against/arrested and disallowed to organize.
I never expected you to come out in favor of disbanding all Islamic groups in the country, discriminating against them, and arresting them. Most of the other religions too, probably, and if you remove the black and church qualifiers and include all bombings, races, and ethnic groups, then you'd also be including a large number of other social organizations and quite a few corporations, especially the older ones. Don't you understand that it's not okay to discriminate against someone JUST because you don't agree with them or don't like them?
Claeyt wrote:I'm sure it's legal to ask if someone wanting to volunteer for you has ever been involved in a nation wide group dedicated to white supremacy and violence towards black people. The bigger question is why he's playing to this crowd at all and why the rest of the Republican party are so disgusted by it. He should be admonished for appealing to this lowest base of American fear and hatred and he should be shown to be completely not suited to be the president of the United States.
Ohhhh, you're sure. Then of course you must be right. What was I thinking?
I'll tell you why he's 'playing' to this crowd. Because they're going to vote for him. All politicians do it. Democrats love to play to the illegal immigrant crowd, lawbreakers, so that their registered relatives will vote for them.
Claeyt wrote:No.. they are saying that he is completely unfit to be the president of America. They do not say that about her because they recognize that though they may hate her personally and her policies especially, they do not see her as unfit for the office.
Well, you're entitled to your opinion. I'm not trying to change it.
Claeyt wrote:TotalyMeow wrote:I like how you decide who you think is fit to be president. They seem presidential.
I'm not the only one who's describing the candidates this way. I highly recommend you watch a variety of news sources.
I don't doubt you're not the only one who makes decisions that way. I know news media does it too. You don't really have to be smart to be a reporter these days.
Claeyt wrote:I challenge you to find one incompetency of her's that she committed in office that is directly attributed to her.
Well, for one thing, there isn't a single thing she's achieved. She has no accomplishments as Secretary of State. Plenty of disasters not averted, though. If you really want a long list, it'll have to be a new thread, unless you want to change this to a thread about Hillary instead of Trump now. I'm game.
Claeyt wrote:And I still want an answer to this post Tmeow after you said Obama was one of our worst presidents
Yes, I remember it.
Well, let's see... Our economy is still in the toilet. Healthcare costs have gone up, especially for those who need help the most; many of them can no longer get Medicaid and are instead expected to pay for the "Obamacare". He pulled us out of Iraq too soon, against the recommendations of pretty much everyone, which lead directly to the formation of ISIS. Terrorism has increased. Russia invaded the Ukraine, which we should have been able to stop; do you remember how he laughed at Romney when he said Russia was going to be a problem? I could go on, but again, it's not the subject of this thread unless you want to now talk about Obama.
