Looking for friendly community (Providence)

Well, I've been playing Salem for all of five days and I've become addicted. All was well and good until my fresh new base was ransacked. I've been working hard to build and thrive on my own, with a lot of work put into self-sufficiency as well as basic defense. I had a stone wall and four torches with another stone wall and braziers planned, but my plans had been in vain because I woke up to find most of my valuables gone, my gate had been destroyed, and all four torches were out of ammo. My gates were closed and locked, but someone wanted my supplies so badly that they broke it down. In addition, they stole my chest which had a few valuable inspirational, and they stole my pickaxe which I had equipped. I'll include a picture of my base so that you know I'm not *****, but I'm hoping to find a community where I can work with others to create something grand. I really like this game and I feel bad that I'm off to such a rocky start, but I could be an asset to anyone's town or village. I'm obviously still starting out, but I've been growing rapidly, so I think if I had the proper environment, this game would be a lot of fun. If you're interested, you can PM me here, or my HS is Penge567. Thank you!

Here is a picture of my homestead, it's still new and I didn't plan for some of the quirks like planting fields next to my coal, or having wood piles in the way of workshop that was in progress.

Well, most end and mid game players such as myself don't post pictures of their base despite a defence nice enough to hold off, as it's easy to identify it ingame/to keep location private/not give away the formation of the base. This only encourages the future robber to commit those crimes in the first place, though that's a unlikely reason as you posted it just today, so I'd say it's just an unfortunate, random, occurence.
Of course I believe you will learn just fine from your mistakes, so I hope you'll find a fitting community soon enough that'll teach you further into this.

I know it's bad to post pictures, I only did that because I'm looking to move

I don't want to stay here because I was robbed and my valuables are gone. If anyone feels like robbing me now, feel free, you might make off with some hay or a few cereal seeds.

I told him to do that to show he has the knowledge of the game to make a competent base. He lives near someone who keeps multiple raiders harbored in a secondary plank-wall mini-base. They're probably going to plague him for a very long time if he stays there, so he might as well move. Of course it's generally a bad idea to post pics of your base, but he needs to find safety in numbers in a new locale until he has the proficiencies to make a really formidable base.
Basically, the screenshot is supposed to show that he wasn't preyed upon because he did something dumb like not having the most basic defenses, or built next to water and figured that the river is a good substitute for a wall.
I also gave him a measly 300 silver to bank, which I only mention to get across that he won't need handouts.

i offered him a place at the massive city im building with a bunch of players but he is not interested in pvp we dont plan on doing pvp for a while but we eventualy will because like it or not that is the end game and people will attack yoru base eventualy its only a matter of time so wether you like it or not u will be doing pvp at least on the defence side
some tips first off aparently your in a bad area so im taking a guess and saying that your near where you got dropped off at from tutorial walk west for a while then build the base you just did u should be fine base could have been a bit better defended but from what they say you were up aginst a powerful opent for your lvl and just starting out you could have doubled up your stone wall though it would have done little good in this case
somtimes a second layer of walling is enough for a raider to not attack
also u seemed a bit scared to die
this will eventualy happen it does to nearly every player
if your not willing to lose everything base character everything then this may not be the best game for u
work towrds brick walls as fast as you can because once u can put them up and some braziers it will fend off 99% of raiders had you had a brick wall and braziers and yes i know u were working towards it you probably would not have had your base robbbed so keep working towards those 2 inportant skills

I'm fine with dying, I just don't want to kill other players. I'm prepared for if something were to happen and I were to die, but I don't want to make myself a target by being a part of some "raider gang". I was hoping to do something more productive than make life hell for other players. Granted, I don't expect you to do the same, but I just don't have the desire to do that. I do agree that I should defend my base more, which is what I was working on. I just didn't expect this much attention so soon. I walked for about an hour after I spawned, so I'm not close to the spawn point. I'm more than willing to build a second layer of wall, I just need to find the granite needed to do so, but since I already have high-level raider attention, I'm not sure how much I want to invest into this base. I'm sure I could build a brick wall and braziers, but I started less than a week ago, it seems unreasonable to expect an end-game base from a fresh spawn... I'm doing my best for now at least.
