Address to New Immigrants
Dear Salemites,
As you all know these American lands are full of opportunities and today I come to you with one more. If you are a newcomer to our merry colony, or if you are coming back from a long trip to England or even if you wish to see another scenery then you might be interested by what we have to offer.
We are the citizens of Endenia’s Jewel and I, Tynendir Endeniel - humble as I am – Governor of the town, wish to welcome you to our humble abodes.
Coming from different nations, but sharing a common language, we work together to survive and thrive in this backstabbing ecosystem. We also share common values; friendship, justice, honesty and hard work.
After many a backstab and treacheries, after tears and toils, we endured and honed our skills and in the meantime developed new strategies of recruitment so as both us and new recruits could learn to trust each other in a relative safety. And here we are sharing those strategies with you in the hope that you would choose us as your new home and that we would choose you as our new friends.
However, as all of you know without a doubt, no town would recruit without requirements. We would not accept sycophants, drunkards, sloths, criminals, traitors and spies, and of course people of frivolous nature. Instead we require hard workers, trustworthy and friendly folks. All in all, people that are able to speak and write in English and who wish to involve themselves in the politics of Salem.
If you think you fit those requirements and you wish to join us then feel free to contact us. After an interview you will be asked to move in the borough of our beautiful city where you will be asked to complete trials. Those trials will be hard but still rewarding. They will be in accord with your skills, your aspirations and the requirements of the town. For example if you wish to be a blacksmith we might ask of you to produce a certain quantity of products that will be used to the benefit of the town as well as the improvement of your tools. Sometimes there might be trials used as a sort of quest so as to hone your skills and improve yourself. Other times, you may not like those trials but they will show you essential tasks for the maintenance of the town and the well-being of all its citizens.
Be wary folks as those trials will be an arduous journey and they might take weeks for you to complete and will require of you hard work, diligence and intelligence as well as an adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit. If what you are looking for is protection for very little work then be on your way as we will not accept the lazy and the unable.
Overall we are looking for particular people that share our vision for this land. You will be put to the task and you will have to surpass yourself to have the chance to join a friendly community that will stand by you through any trouble.
Best regards,
Tynendir Endeniel.

- Selfish behavior (We are a community before everything else)
Specific rules for borough inhabitants:
- No building allowed without the approval of a town member.
- No P-Claiming.
- No grouping with outsiders (citizens are also discouraged to group with outsiders).
The advantages of a town member:
- Large facilities for all your needs.
- A personal space for storage and living quarters.
- You provide the town, the town will provide you.
- Relative safety (Note that we can’t 100% guarantee your safety as Salem is a dangerous place and large factions are always on the lookout to prey on weaker target. We will fiercely defend our homes but victory is never assured.)
- Friendly community. Let’s not forget that Salem is a game. The goal is to have fun as a group.
- Permanent members will have access to town sets. Citizens may be lent those sets under supervision. Borough inhabitants will not have access.
