Utilizing a profession EARLY on to make money (help)

So I realize hay is not very costly anymore. Instead, I just went for the old stuff, Savage Charms, Cricket Team, foraging, etc.

I have a claim set up with an ore smelter and iron mine. I also have a copper mine near by. Are there any early professions (don't require grindy skills) that I can make decent silver off of? I'm getting close to the point where charms and crickets aren't going to work that well.

Any tips in general for the *middle* stages of the game would be glady appreciated.

Let me give you a little preview on my next book:

Method Number 7:
If done right farming can prove to be extremely lucrative providing you with an income of a few thousands silver every 3 days for a minimum time investment if done right. You will need basic farming skill and knowledge as well as a lot of arable lands. Planting T1 Cotton raising the plenty of your fields is a good idea as Cotton can be sold to the stalls. The advantage of this method is that it’s a minimum time investment (preparing and planting the fields) for a very good reward.

I was thinking farming would be good, however I don't really know how to start. Can you possibly link a guide?

Farming cloth or killing beavers is a good way

You would need to buy or borrow the book ingame.

Cotton is your friend. Plant as much of it as you can and if you are killing lots of bunnies then grind up their bones and put the bone meal on the fields to both up the plenty and the speed. I rarely add more then 3 doses to each field as its is simply more efficient to just have more fields. The resulting cotton can then be woven into cloth and sold at the NPC stalls at 15 silver each (if you have weaving items slotted into your clothes you can even push the amount of cloth you craft even further)
With enough fields you can make a huge amount of silver without much effort.

Beaver killing is my prefered method of gaining silver early on (after the charm gathering stage) - their skins sell for 12 silver each and if your lucky you can get lard from them which can sell fairly well to other players (or made into soap which sells for 50 silver). With the leather skill you will also get brains from the beavers which will turn your 4 silver hides into 12 silver leather (unless you are going to use it - which is advised)

You'll have to wait for The Ultimate Guide to Farming by Tynendir Endeni'el.
