In general, silver always goes first on all transactions, regardless of who initiates a trade, which is why people would think that is an odd request.

In general? It is joke? Show me an example. No? You buying something by that rules? This is ridiculous. No one trader no put item/silver first. No one regular trader. Because each trader has a history of transactions in his topic, another it is impossible to do business.

ICON is right. IN GENERAL, when transactions are made on video games/ salem the buyer gives the money (virtual or real) first. I have been trading items over video games for years for hundred/thousand dollars, so i know how this all goes. I always sent the money transfers FIRST when i would buy from a reputable trader. On Salem like on any game where you got items, people create REP THREADS and make their own 'rules' and can therefore ask to receive the item before paying as well since they have a good reputation and they might want to trade 'safely' with random people. And no it is not ridiculous, i would never give the item(s) before receiving the money unless the guy got a good rep thread, because thats how things go online on video games, if either person doesnt have much of a reputation. Its a very 'common/popular' rule.

I see your reach of experience, but would like to see, at least one real-life example of Salem. When a respected trader when buying from anonymous users who added by HS sends things / silver first. You will not find such an example, because it is an absurd situation.

And btw I've already bought garden shovel, so more discussion does not make sense, good luck, you need a lot of it, when buying things from anonymous user and send money first.
