Check the going rates for stuff and then come back with an offer that people might realistically do. They will possibly be a little greedy because animals are not exactly common and they are jealously hoarded at this point considering how they seemingly randomly die sometimes and stuff. I think the lowest you could hope for was 600 silver worth of stuff, but probably more.
