Hi! New to the game :)

I'm a little bothered that in order to obtain an education, I need to max faith and wisdom. It seems to imply that faith is needed to actually be smart. Any thoughts?

You need to HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF. You must believe that you are capable to learn more and more!

Faith doesn't have to relate to religion.

The proficiency is Faith and Wisdom. Where else would we put education and literacy themed skills? And it does fit the times since priests and such tended to get a formal education more often than the average person. I suppose the skills could go in Law and Lore, except that we have a different purpose in mind for that one.

Education and being smart don't necessarily have to relate to each other either
Jesus died for our sins. You should do the same.

Those days, but moreso the times before, the church actually held the monopoly for knowledge of any kind in the western world, and had a quite firm grip around it, that way we lost about 800 years of technical progress, but I am drifting away, fact is, it does go very well together with that era.

This.

There's more than faith in the church out there in the lumberwoods pilgrim.

You'll be a fun influence on the forums, I can tell.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
