How are you folks doing this lovely day? Oh, not having a fabulous day. Obviously something bad has happened to you. May I ask why the frown? Oh no, your base just got trashed by raiders. That is a shame but please do not quit the game. I know you are feeling distraught but that is no reason to through in the towel. Fear not friend. there is hope for you. I can show you how to rebuild your base with a few simple rules. Now doesn’t that make the pain better? Please keep reading so you can get back on your feet. Each week a suggestion will be added to this thread.

Rule for week of October 12, 2015:
You have no bell you will go to hell. Now friend, don't let the false sense of security of having a claim stone cover your base make you think you are safe. A town claim can be built over your pclaim causing the raiders to own what was once yours. In game it is so easy to get silver from finding arrowhead/feather for charms, hunting beavers for hides, or even selling regular hides. Some raiders even laugh because the plcaim owner has enough silver stashed away in a chest to purchase a town claim. Please friends do not fall in to this category.

Rule for week of October 19, 2015:
Splish Splash we will kick your ass. Oh I mean, you should not build your walls inside out. Having a stone wall behind a plank it not a good plan friends. Once we raiders break the plank wall, the stone wall will be damaged due to splish splash. This makes you a great target for raiders. So remember the hierarchy of the walls or we raiders will break in.

Rule for week of November 9, 2015: No walls, No filled brazies, No defenses, Oh My! Friends, now why would you leave your base unprotected? This makes a perfect target for us to take all your goodies. Well, I mean raiders, to take all your goodies. Please remember to make walls, fill braziers, and other defenses so Christmas doesn't come early for raiders like us them.

Townbells cost more than just a few silver nowadays, I doubt it's worth it for most small pclaims of players that just started...

Also, the only thing townbells do now, is give you up to 24h reaction time before the actual attack, boundry stones and townbells can be destroyed under TBF (waste claim), the probably best defense would be a pclaim so huge that it's unprofitable to use imminent-domain on it, plus a townbell for the sole purpose of the 24h so if you are bold, you can keep the pclaim unpayed until you get besieged.

Also, I find it funny how this mechanic (destroyable authority objects) meant to combat authority object spamming can be countered by authority object spamming.
If you extend your town past the initial claim, and your townbell is well protected, don't just place the minimum boundry stones needed, but spam them with each having their own walled pocked, so taking out 1 or 2 or 3... does not expose any of your walls and defenses.

Yes so many towns I have seen out there where they place brick wall outside and weaker walls on the inside... Its good you give tips to new guys so they can protect themselves better and hopefuly that will make less people quit the game. Great job with the posts :D

How long would it take for upper-end bashers to make it through rail->stone->plank->brick?
