The past here on the forum there were several wrong messages, dare I say much propaganda, well I want to refute some of these "things".
Jwitherorn first hunted Russians, and often used the excuse that the Russians themselves were killing people who do not speak their language, good things I saw them differently, for example, I live near a city with inhabitants Russians I expected threats, some dead bear by the door, none of that!
indeed, the first meeting was a real success, the conversation was friendly, and not only too successful.
The Russians are not evil guys, even have their own honor and not what is often said here on the forums this is not to do publicity but deny that the Russians are not all bad, but rather they are of such good allies and I'm finding them .
I would like to thank Rustatorium for their kindness and their alliance, I'm mentioning LOMS the mayor for his covenant and his honesty, and all the inhabitants of Jlexa Rustatorium!

Most Russians are indeed very friendly, Rustatorium is a perfect example of that. I think that there still is alot ''hate'' against the Russians from Roanoke and the pirates from Jamestown. Which is unfair, I agree on that.

Deserve a rematch of the general opinion towards our Russian friends

I have had such great Russian friends that helped me so much in the game. Thanks Yall! It's very much appreciated!

My very first friend in salem was a Russian guy. The only nasty Russian's i've personally met were the 'pirates'. It's just like the people from any other country, most are decent. But there really seems to be a strong anti-Russian sentiment remaining in our community; a couple of people i met were even worried to say they were from Russia in case I'd hate them just for that. Things shouldn't be like that.

Well, there actually was a similar thing, but kind of vice versa. Russians had a rule "You can attack anyone, but ask where they are from and if they are russianspeakers, offer an alliance first". I'm glad Rustatorium did not inherit this playstyle.
Russians ofcourse are not all mean bastards, but stereotypes often exist for a reason, sometimes I feel embarassed for my nation when I read area chat in Providence. Speaking language most people don't understand during common events is already rude enough to gain a dislike, but it's not only that. Pirates are (were) constantly ***** about Rustatorium and LOMS in particular during dock fights, hell, there was a guy, not sure at which side, shouting "YOU ARE LIKE MIGHTY HANDFUL!!!" as it was supposed to be offensive. Once I witnessed a group of (apparently) Rustatorium folks surrounding Biddas in Providence and insulting him in group, yeah, I know they have their issues and Biddas was spreading threats towards russians all over ruforum, but it didn't look like fun faction vs. faction trolling or equl revenge from outsider view, was more like a bunch of hyenas attacking one quitting guy who was barely resisting. Plus all the little negative remarks towards western world, like "Obama is a monkey" or "shut up with your poor* english", made, ofcourse, in russian, so no one except for fellow classmates could understand. Small things like this are building a whole negative perception, though they can only be witnessed by other russian speakers.


*not "poor" as week knowledge of the language, but as middling and lacking language in general, russians have an ego busting myth about russian language being the most beautiful in the world and english being something of a cave painting level of communication, yet statistics says only 7% of russian population were able to reach this level

I did not intend this post to sound rusophobic, there is plenty of nice russians ofcourse, probably even among those whose actions I mentioned as negative examples, just saying that there can be certain issues with russians (and actually slavs in general), when you stumble upon united bunch in games.
