Purity overhaul... is there any value in exploration?

I like to wander the map looking for purity resources. to date... the quality water, life, forage... has had a definite impact on garden yield, bins, worms, etc...
Suddenly folks who were interested in my 9% lead lime... don't care anymore. Are they on the Mason's forum list... possible.. they know what's coming?
IDK... I begin to wonder what's coming for purity fix. Will resources all be null. Will anything I find in the next 2 weeks be worth nothing 3 weeks from now.
I get the impression... if you have purity... soak it for all it's worth b/c soon it'll be worthless.
And on an off-note- why do we have darkness?
All I can see if argopelters... and they appear at 51.0 darkness... why have deeper darkness?
I keep wandering the deepest pits of (hell) hoping to find some benefit; but the truth is there is nothing in the dark... just more danger. Purity ore, forage, lime, clay... all are harder to find... and none of them match or better other discoveries found closer to Boston!
Darkness is a fool's errand. I was that fool- don't follow me into it.
Cheers

I also like exploring, though I mostly just go out hovering in as much as I can rather then trying to find really high purity stuff I do really like the idea that in some places the foraged things are better then in others even if it is just by a bit.
It's already been stated publicly that Purity on Curios is coming off (which I like) but that means that a few of our Forageables like Flint will have lost any reason to have Purity as everything made from it will now be purity-less.
How dose this sound, every foragable which is not already a random drop would come in two tiers, the low tier is always what is seen on the mini map but their is normally a ~1% chance to get the high tier instead. Instead of purity nodes their are nodes of higher probability maybe peaking at ~10% right in the middle so foraging their is super effective. Because it's still random for everyone it is not easy to just blow through an area once and see that it's purity is low or high, instead your going to need to consistently forage your home turf and both notice and remember when your finding more then normal amounts of high tier forageables.
As for lime/clay/water I don't have any idea what will happen to them, but devs have said they are going to de-emphasize the importance of finding and controlling thouse raw material sources and I can see why they have been consistently broken since H&H.

No no. He's absolutely right.
There is definitely no purity lime there.
Especially not my 12% single element lime.
*cough*

This describes current darkness well... lots and lots of **** and a diamond rarely... regardless of stats.

State darkness value where you found the 12%...
and post a pic.
Easy to say.. harder to prove.

It's really not. Maybe you should actually go into the darkness instead of dreaming of it.

Darlnacht and Dallane-
Both of you are idiots. You know nothing of darkness.
Your claims are BS... rather than supporting them you cried foul.
Liars. Good reason I have at least one of you on my ignore list... glad to add another no noting to the list.
I have lived in darkness more than any other in the game... my towns are both in darkness... first mere weeks after wipe.
Sent a request to JC for town creation data to list (town name, creation date, darkness level)...no more... wager heavily what he finds will bear me out. YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT DARKNESS. Neither of you have had the balls to live in it every day.
Perhaps before you criticize or comment you try living there yourself for a few months... hardship and all, but then you'll have a leg to stand on.
Nothing but Trolls and ignorant at the moment.
