I find Claeyt infuriating when he argues made up lies or parades around untruthful information as fact.

I just hope he can stick to the former.

So if I feed him endless amounts of made up **** and he comes to the forums about it like he always does he will go back to being banned forever? If so Claeyt and I are about to become best friends.

I'm not making up anything, I'm just wondering how they actually died. I think we all just want to know how Darwoth killed them with Witchcraft if that's what happened. I'm not lying. I just want info to avoid the same thing and learn the mechanic of the game.

Like I said. They should have known to fix their house wall. A dev intervention during a WC is a little wrong, even Darwoth agreed with this earlier. Whatever. It's done. They're gone. Up to you if you want to call this a legit raid and kill, I wasn't there.

The bigger question is how are we supposed to learn about Witchcraft if we can't become a witch easily? If we're not willing or able to commit a high level character to being a witch then how do we learn how to defend against it? Are we just supposed to read Mereni's tribe wiki as she explores it? How do we defend against a game mechanic that we can't/don't use ourselves with no or little info on the forums or on the wiki?

BTW when are Mereni's Tribe Wiki and the regular Wiki going to be merged? Why hasn't that happened yet?

Become a witch or find one who will tell you.

See above.

I think that's the whole point. Witchcraft is supposed to be a mechanic which is not easily visible. Which is not easily accesible. Which is not commonly known. You are supposed to be paranoid and surprised. At least in the beginning

Merged in what way? One shot down? Mereni decided she doesn't want to help with community wiki so she runs her own.

I'm fine with that, but we're dealing with a Perma-Death mechanic that there is no information on unless you get one of the people who use it to tell you about it? It's going to take months for any info to become known and meanwhile Darwoth and others who can test it will be playing with it and killing people and those people will have absolutely no way to know what happened if they don't have a witch character. I just want to know how it works. Noobs out there, and a lot of veterans are just avoiding town now because they think they can be killed on sight and they have no idea how to protect themselves against it besides continually spamming the priest at the church with silver.

I like that it's mysterious and I don't want to know all about it but some basic answers like "Can a witch instantly kill you and if so how"" or "How do I tell if I've been cursed?" aren't too much to ask for imo.

Well they're both getting updated. There's the official Salem Wiki which used to be run by Sabanati before he left this summer, and then theres the 'SaleMM' wiki run by Mereni which was a response to Sabanati's.

the max amount of damage i have been able to do AFTER charging my spell for a good 3+ hours (which if you do not watch it can kill you if the cauldron gets to hot/low on water) was 372.9 dmg.

i guess that "can" kill a lot of people, if they do not move for the several hours you are "cooking" their spell.

372.9 will kill 99% of the players in the game. They have to be summoned and then stand still for hours? Does that mean that you can kill a 100 stat guy with a summonable scent in 1 hour or so?

So not instant kill but rather a slow kill for people who have been summoned somewhere? Can you summon anyone or just people with summonable scents? Will they stay summoned while you cook? Do you have to have them in some sort of range or can they be anywhere?

Does it require a scent to perform the magic or does it just require a visual tuning of the doll to them?
