You also were indeed throwing **** on the ground. When I came back from work there was tons of stuff rotting in the curio storage.

1 Player = "you guys"
Curio storage ? I think i dropped maybe a dozen coffin planks on the floor and a few other things due to being over weight, otherwise beyond that nope I didnt, Maybe it was after darwoth destroyed them, Maybe it was kia, Maybe it was Tynun (As he personally dumped around 25,000s+ of personal items into the void)? Just like the cooking area ? Guess i dumped all the food on the floor as well.

If you go into the townsquare, im sure you will find 100-200 seaisland cotton cloth, 150~ indian, 150~ egyptian, unless He took them as well You would need to ask the person emptying everything what he took, im not sure, i couldnt care.

I collected everyones cash shop/important items up,and finally allowed said village member you seem keen on mentioning in an attempt to incriminate me to take them to safty after he asked multipul times, however MY ITEMS still remain inside my plot.

   ]

EDIT: Also note in your screenshot, "I ported MY .... ....".

You just admitted to everything. Your town(includes you) has dumped vast ammounts and moved shop items out of the town. Seems you also stole shop items from your town and almost didn't give them back once asked. Your terrible plot also isn't that hard to break into once darwoth puts effort into it.

You guys are carrying on saying it's a inactive village when the rent is paid for and i know for a fact kia has been playing. You are trying to spin this like it's not a big deal when in fact it actually is. You spent a day in full panic mode stressing out(you admitted this in a PM to me). Why waste all that time for nothing if it didn't matter. Why go on for 10 pages of back and forth to kill the WC. Why use alts to destroy the WC. If you enjoyed making new characters and towns then you would have more than 2 of each. Why continue to make yourself look like a massive idiot in this thread instead of letting it die. It's ok to lose, thats part of the game but stop making yourself look pathetic by carrying on like this.

When did I pmed you??? I only connected to help Lee with village fortifications because of "his debt of honour" that he thought he had towards me when he promised he would die for the village. The village is inactive as we've stated many times with the exception of Kia. No one else is playing.

What i think is sadder is people trying to secure loot and power in a dead server at the hope that the game will be fixed eventually coz "me smart" when they lack enough brain cells to realize that all of the people that will come back(if they fix the game) will never set a foot again in providence and prolly just play expeditions or a new server. But well is the same cicle all over again when the old 3 servers existed and then providence was born(even if devs say right now that they wont make a wipe just like jorbtar said back then).

And if you dare trying to come up with ideas to fix the "job feeling" of the game you are soon labeled as a retard. Good old I&I.

TBH I don't really understand why people say it feels like a job. Almost all mechanics which people tend to grind are related to progressing your character, mainly producing food. But the main reason people do that is because they want to stay competitive, to be stronger than enemies. So the bottom line - people grind and work because other people grind a lot too. The only solutions would most likely come in a form of gating mechanics or diminishing returns. Which we already have in forms of F&F debuff, passive inspiration generation and damage formula. And the natural outcome of that is that the more resourceful people start producing alts, because that gives more bang for buck than trying to further improve a titan.

No matter what is done it will always be the same - people who put more effort into the game will be stronger. If you want to compete with them you will have to put similar amount of effort. But it is YOUR choice if you want to do that. The game feels like a job? Then slow down. You won't be competitive but do you really expect to be so when other people are simply much more resourceful?

I thought that's what hardcore pvp games are about.

Derails....

If you just want to complain about the game you should just go somewhere else. If it is a job to you then just quit. Stop complaining about it and go away. Some of us are having fun playing and will continue to. This post is about the raid on jewel and I was enjoying reading that so take your opinions on how the game is broke somewhere else. For people who hate the game so much you really spend a lot of time on the forums belly aching about it.

Oh vey, more please more.

43 pages of the same **** over & over again. At least **** posting in H&H is obvious & not taken to heart as it is here.

Those speaking of grind this game has never been a grind. The true grind is grinding cheese & creamy ****. Then you can have true happiness. Image

Not many sandbox mmo's can make it not feel like a job. Take Wurm online for example, very similar to salem, they just recently dumped the public server attention and now are marketing it as a private server deal on steam.

Dallane wrote:But you guys moved all the valuable stuff out during the 1st WC.....

sadly no....
but yes i did get my gardening shovel and pitchfork out ASAP..... but they were not the only valuable items... many valuable things were lost to "the void" that day.

but yah LeeLee and im sure tyn gave stuff to other people also... some of the items tyn gave away i really wish i could have gotten.
(Hellforge tongs for instance)

Procne wrote:TBH I don't really understand why people say it feels like a job.

because in a game you can CHOOSE what you FEEL like doing... or CHOOSE NOT TO DO ANY THING and just ***** around.
at a JOB you have to do set things.... right now you are FORCED to be a stick sharpener or cook... and you are FORCED to study insperationals and blah blah blah...

lets say you log in and your madness goes up and you smoke all your tabaco and don't have any silver to buy any more because you just bought a gardening shovel.
and you were really hopping to do some mining today/tonight... you COULD chance it and most likely end up with a worthless pick axe... but odds are you are not going to chance it and your going to logout with a teddy bear.

that is a killer right there...

but lets keep going and say that mining you were going to do was to make some iron bars that you and a village mate were going to turn to wrought iron and build some brazers.
the next day or so you aren't able to login because it's your weekend with your kids or some thing....
and your village mates just barely don't fend off a raider while your gone... if you had had the chance to make that damn wrought iron your village would have survived....
and since your village is destroyed your char is probably dead too.... so there goes all the progress you had made the whole time you have been playing.

the insanity/madness is cancer on top of the already multiple broken bones salem had.

maybe the devas SHOULD talk to darwoth about things before they implement them...
they could have talked to darwoth about the insanity/madness thing and darwoth could have been like.. "well wants going to stop me from afking with my crime alt and smoking enough tabaco to keep it from dying... the madness levels don't mean **** to it any way because it is just an alt and doesn't do any work"

and then the devas could have seen what a terrible idea that patch would have been and saved them selves the effort.

just saying... Darwoth seems to understand the game mechanics better then the devas do.......
If you guys have questions about radar find me on steam, KiaKun.
sorry for the very late replies.... everyone i played salem with quit... and all my villages have been raided.

In my experience, there are very few games in which this is true. Sim computer games are one kind, but this is not a sim game, much as many seem to want it to be.
