This was the way the system was first implemented on the test server. We found that in skirmishes it simply boiled down to people trying to 'spam' the border stones as fast and as hard as they could before the time the payout happened, then rip down all the borderstones until the next payday. In the end the current system vastly outperformed a 'payday' system.

Claimstone takes half a month to set in and remains costly one month after being destroyed?

Sure. We could do a work around but in the end we liked the system better if every second of every day that somebody is #1, the #2-10 towns are missing out.

Sounds like this could be compensated by making border stones drain the same amount of gold from the village bell over time as they already do and expand it by the same amount, however for payday autho it works towards a cap over time, of say a few days/weeks. So the border stones would need to be made a few weeks/days prior to the payday.

I would have hoping for groups to attack and try to lower other villages in the tables with a payday system, rather than just build/remove border stones.

How large was the test servers player numbers compaired to the actual servers player numbers? I was not there so i cannot make to much of a comment on it.

sounds like a pointless change to complicate matters with no benefit and several potential downsides.

Yeah I just suggest as JC said the problem is people farming authority late in the month.
My solution is actually to let Poopclaim be stronger, like 100x, or destroy authority completely.

so you think a challenge authority which costs nothing other some turkey ****, has virtually zero risk, and is completely anonymous should drain 24,000 authority an hour thereby nullifying an entire groups work over a period of weeks in an hour.

At least for now. It will be so worth it that people start to do it more don't you think. then we can nerf it eventually. The point here is that maybe that will put people into the habit of making poopclaim.

Poop claiming should be more like TPing a house in my opinion. Offenders stand off the claim and actively throw **** at the claim. If the town doesn't want people throwing **** at their town they should go out and take care of it
