If people do not know how he did it then they do not need to know in my opinion. Yes it is astounding but at the same level you do not give away the horse for free and you never diminish the efforts of a person. You were playing on popham why didn't you do what he was doing?
Because I don't have 50-100 hrs a week to play a game.
This is an old, old argument I've had many times on the Salem forums about what is a 'Titan' or 'A character that is too big for the game mechanics'. I'm not the one that hijacked this thread to talk about it like Darwoth and some others did but I'll respond here. Needless to say I of course
WOULD make a character like this if I had the time and that I
CAN make a character like this but I don't have the time. Popham's mechanics made it much, much easier to make a character like this and Darwoth is using those mechanics fully now that he knows he has won the server.
My opinion is that 'No Lifers' will always dominate MMO's and that's normal but there's a difference between dominating an MMO and being too large for the mechanics of the game so as to dominate any and all other players forever or for a very long time. Of course this is my opinion ONLY and is not a reflection on the dev's, the game or the mechanics.
Video Games and MMO's are meant to have stable mechanics and fair rules and be competitive. If they stop having any of those they are no longer a game.
As JC and Marp will surely point out a 2500 stat character will still be KO'd when you shoot it 4 or 5 times with a gun and it will still die after you summon it after destroying it's homestead. These things still don't make it good for the game to have characters this high in humors.
I'm speculating here, but Darwoth will probably use this character to just defend his darkness bases and to hunt large darkness monsters. Maybe he brings it to a dock club event but it's a witch so I don't know how effective it would be in town. It'll give other benefits as well to inspirational points and stuff like that as do all the other large characters on the server but that's not breaking the mechanics, in my opinion. I can't think of any Witchcraft benefits that it would give as that's mostly based on proficiency levels and not humors. I highly doubt that Darwoth will raid with this character or even ever risk it being summoned, but it's still an advantage in the game over other players and I don't personally know if the dev's understood that he could leave Popham with this big of a character.
