Yeah I got that little ****** yesterday as well. I haven't heard any whispers so far, so I think there is a small chance to get it even when not insane.

Ehh people are going to leave for all sorts of reason. I highly doubt someone that can put up with griefers, murderers, killer animals, and all he other crap, will break because sometimes weird stuff happens, all of which can be easily negated if you're paying attention mind you.

Door is over there, anyone can leave, nobody will care.

The insanity mechanic is not as terrible as people make it sound.. JC could have made it a hell of a lot more intrusive, then i could see it becoming a problem.

So far, all you have to do to avoid going insane is not going AFK or standing around, as JC already stated in the announcement thread, you could study something every 5 minutes and never gain a madness level.

So keep a handful of low-cost inspirationals in your backpack and study them every couple minutes, its like adding another tea flask to your routine.

Adding thor's post as well to the pot and something seems off. Maybe a bug with the insanity system?

Yeah it does, I had the itchy bum thingo happen last night at madness 0 when I picked up a flower in the wild. I've picked up probably hundreds now and had no other issues, but my guess is that it has an extremely small chance at Madness 0 but definitely does have a chance.

This update was all kinds of amusing, anyone that quits over it needs to take off their poison oak undies :P

I think it's entertaining. I have some townsfolk who are oldschool returning players who have a lot of background in Salem so they're definitely not carebear players and fully embrace this game but a couple of them are very discouraged because to a returning player with low stats and the inability to create tobacco or manage everything low levels have to manage, the limited inspiration to get the small ones every 5 minutes is very difficult. So I can relate.

Honestly anyone who has a madness level is by their own doing. The mechanic is stupid easy to avoid and deal with.
