There was an auction for another stall on the weekend. I would expect that auctions will be the only way to get new stalls now. This, or hoping someone else abandon their current stall

I don't suppose we need much more stalls. As it is, I can't usually be bothered to browse all of them when I do pass by.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Almost all the stalls have been bought very fast after their appearance. By this, I think they were all bought by people well established in this game, who have a few months of playing. The players who just started (or started 1 month ago like me) lack the chance of owning a stall. I heard about the auction, but too late, and I think the price was 8k, which is a bit too much for a beginner. New players might not have much to sell, I agree, but even now there are stalls that sell seeds and cabbage and rabbits, with low purity. I think this is a big disadvantage for the new players and somewhat useless feature (other than buying from others), since they might not get it...

Usually, I don't do that either. But if I need something badly and I need it fast, I will search every stall.

The only solution I see is to increase weekly upkeep. To force stall owners to either intensify their sales or abandon their stalls.
You could even make it dynamic and self-balancing - each week, if all stalls are owned then upkeep on all stalls increases. Each time a stall is freed the upkeep drops.

i'd propose say that a stall's upkeep can only be paid through tax. Only stalls that have an actual turnover would stay.
Of course, you may still have people buying from their own stall, but at least you'll get rid of inactives.

I check every stall at least once every day , even if all in all I'm mostly spending my money always at the same places ^^

But both Kandarim and Arkadion are right : there's already way enough stall for buyers to find what they search , but not enough stall for new sellers to enter the market .

For me we can :
- make the stall a rent (for one month for exemple) . When the rent end money goes to bank , remaining goods go to postmaster (with a deadline to recover them)
- take (most of ?) the cash out of the stall every week to put it on bank
- raise His Majesty taxes as long as you own the stall (+10% taxes every week ? ¦] )
- Make an option to leave the stall (and then recover invested money from buying it !)

Of course price would need to be adjusted accordingly ^^

We are monitoring the stalls and will most likely be making an adjustment on the monthly anniversary of them. We aim to keep the stall market place at 1 stall for every 10 active daily players. We intend to introduce new stalls through the in-game auction that took place this last sunday.

Would you consider making it possible for stalls to become specialised, for instance the stall owner could chose the colour of the awning to represent different goods, blue for general/undecided, red specialises in food, green in clothes, etc. I just feel that with more and more stalls it becomes hard to find what you want.

I would personally like to see decorations that can be bought from the store.
