First time I hear about the golden eggs from pvp events was this thread here, never been to one so I guess that's on me I just don't feel the thrill of seeing people fight. I was under the impression the wiki was reliable enough.
http://www.salem-wiki.com/mediawiki/ind ... Golden_Egg

The water tower thing I wasn't online for it no clue what it involved I only saw a post after the fact that someone won wompy dooo.

And where the ***** did I complain I could not get a single golden egg? I could have bought one but I wouldn't have wasted it on an event because the reward probably would not be the effort of trading for it. All the ***** information I get on this game is from the forum and wiki and I probably missed some stuff from the forums even though i tried to read a lot of it.

Also some people seem to be under the impression I may be on to something here

I mean stuff you know everyone could have fun with other than a few guys? That black friday thing buy town charter with all the extra silver you're not using anyway because you already have everything for half the price and you can sell it a couple of weeks later for 7 times the profit also leaves a sour taste.

^this totally.

when i joined 3months ago or so, the dev used to go around offering new people to slot there stuff for free, and we had a baking event etc...

grapefruitv wrote:While I agree we need more noobs-oriented events, there also were Lizzy event, catch the ghost, pick the egg after each docks fight (this one is weekly and this is where I've got all my eggs from)

And how about you comment on the town charter price change event thing.

So I get a claeyt hat for wanting more inclusive events and I don't even give a ***** about events in general I still haven't picked up any of the gifts from the store. I find them all immersion breaking but I get some people find them fun and wish them well and just wanted people to have fun because that's kind of guy I am.

And the whole hat thing is just ***** regardless if someone in theory is or is not an idiot or posts idiotic things which I don't own up doing. You're nothing but a bully and worse an immersion breaking bully.

There is one thing I want to know is my old hat under the crap thing or not? It's a ****** two slotted hat but my buddy made it you know the only one of the half a dozen I managed to convince to give the game a chance that is still actually playing without being repulsed instantly by the graphics or god knows what they don't like since it's not perma death they're all from haven. So is my old hat under it? My friend made it and I won't ask him to make another just because JC is a bully who can't play nice with others. I didn't call you names before JC but it seems we're at that stage in our relationship so I guess we're ok with it.

And there the tears are. Ahhh nothing like holiday tears.

You not knowing things doesnt excuse you demanding or requesting the very things you refused or were unable to find yourself.

I don't think that what he did deserves a punition. fine that this is just a game, but in my opinion, if you are a developer and he doesnt like the hat, why keep bothering someone that are playing your game? he is not supposed to feel bullied just cause he's expressing his opinion, there are a lot of others players in this forum that say more idiotic things imo.

He didn't demand anything. The only thing he requested before you bullied him is events for people who don't own golden eggs. The foraging event was a good example but your idea of how common golden eggs are is pretty out of scale.

Completely ignoring the store competition in the last week that was based on nothing but foraging, the competition based on simply filling a water tower, the dock club egg collecting based on simply right clicking the ground. (3 Events in the last 10 days or less). Complaining about an event before the full details are released and the conclusion of the event is over. WHILE complaining that it is somehow the developers fault that you are simply 'bad' at the game and cannot manage to get a single golden egg after months of playing. Has earned you a Dunce Cap for X-mas. Congratulations, you now have something real to spill your tears over.

Also. His Majesty, recognizing an opportunity, has added golden eggs to his stall for only one inventory full of savage charms. Thus making the event more accessible to anybody who just started the game and can right click a stump.

Once again you're missing the fact that not everyone plays this game as much as you did or as much as you think they should. The forage event was fine, the dock club events are fun but most people don't have the humours for it anymore. I've only been able to make one of them to watch because of time constraints. I think that a lot of people can't make them sometimes. I play as much as anyone probably and I've only been able to get a couple of golden eggs myself (2 from March hares and 1 from the event). I read these forums as much as anyone and I still have no idea how to get or hatch a golden goose and I've never gotten a fertile turkey even though I've killed thousands of turkeys.

I get screen shots of players who've already grown 3-4 golden geese and they're getting an egg a day. I can't match that. I do the math from the stall taxes and realize that the top towns which I don't know where they are or who they are are getting something like 2-3000s a day to spend on presents or whatever to help them in events. All of these things make noobs like this guy believe that this game is out of reach for casual players like him.

You need to start realizing that 95% of the players want to have fun at the events but can't or don't know how if you want this game to grow. Most of them can't get into the PvP events or have never found a golden egg because they don't play that much. The top players can afford a golden egg because they've been able to hatch 3-4 golden geese and are getting a golden egg every day or they are getting 10's of thousands of silver a week from the stall taxes.

I've told you this hundreds of times over the years JC but you need to stop thinking everyone plays this game as much as you and realize how to make this AS fun for more casual players. The forage event and foraging mechanics (Teasels/flowers/new inpi's) is a perfect example of what you should be doing more of. Golden eggs are only really owned by the top 5% of factions and the stall taxes are just a ludicrously broken mechanic and are game breaking if the top towns aren't poop claiming each other.

Request to cater the game to the underperformers denied. I acknowledge you seem to feel that players who lack the commitment, dedication, time, energy, or effort deserve the same treatment and rewards as thise who invest countless more into this game. I disagree and feel that all players deserve to be rewarded proportionally to their efforts. There are plenty of games out there that cater to the masses and strive to include underperformers. Mostly in an act of capitalism to part the weak from their wallets. I would rather take the high road and let the players who cannot spend the 1 hour it would take to make enough silver to buy a golden egg realize that they are indeed in a sandbox that never wwas and never will be designed for them to flourish.
