Both Animal AI & Combat Mechanics are something that are slated no sooner than Q3-2015.
In the meantime:
We hope to add MORE animals which will of course increase the diversity of AI.
We hope to add more diversity to the combat system in addition to what we would consider "balance" changes to make more moves viable. I consider the combat system akin to that of a MOBA in that.... "you have a single unit, with a subset of skills, highly dependent on one particular action at one exact time for success."
I very much hate MOBAs, but there are certainly other systems that we have identified needing our attention first.
