I'm pretty sure the intention is that you shouldn't build multiple wall layers.

Anyway, sweet update, devs. Makes homes feel a lot more homey, Now we just need facade skins :D

All well and good for newly established bases where you planned around the new system.

2 problems:

1. Raiders can now build a stick fence CP up against your stone wall and then bash it. This cascades over onto the stone and you just repeat until the walls are done. 2 vandi scents per bash instead of 1 at a fraction of the time needed.

2. If you put weaker fences between your walls (example: stone wall > stick wall > stone wall) and then decide to remove your stick fence to avoid the splash damage, you'll cascade your own walls around it trying to clear the fence out.

I believe that the outward splash damage (multiple walls) should only occur when using seige tools (rams/cannons/explosives) for higher tiered walls.

Have you tested this?

No one's tested anything, really. It's just a big ***** like always without any real testing.

We've already had a huge dry-up in the forums of any raiding at all. It looks like nothing is going on in this server the past couple weeks but farmville. Now, it looks like it's going to be even worse. I'll believe otherwise when I see a raid thread.

Just because I pay the treaty doesn't mean I want to be totally safe. The risk that someone could find me and steal my stuff made it interesting. But not so much anymore.

It's confirmed by a few people that the splitrail fence's cascade effect jumps to stone hedges nearby. Makeshift fences don't, though.

Splash damage from that splitrail brought the adjacent stone hedge segment down to 87% destroyed, so it's not nearly as bad as it was cascade-wise when breaking a lowbie fence next to a hedge or plank wall.

You should try Roanoke then, Russians can still tear you a new one even with all these changes.

Anyway, the whole stick fence deal is just a temporary bug, I'm sure they'll me up with a satisfactory solution to it.

Awesome changes. Multiple wall stacking was ugly. And those wall decorations are amazing :)

ok my take

I don't care about decorating updates (although the cost of wallpaper is ridiculous).

Brazier update is nice.

Splash is supper annoying. Their is still a point to making several walls but the trick is to leave free space in between them, meaning a lot more space, the argument about building a split rail fence is valid.

So now we should begin to redesign our bases to account for the new splash (please just remove this feature).
