Can the growth of the trees be stunted once you plant them in the ground?

All I'm missing as far as agriculture skills go are botany and horticulture, and I can't learn it either, so it looks like it's pretty far up in the tree. The fact that it requires 3,500 each in four proficiencies according to the wiki backs that up.

Ok, I have Botany, but not Horticulture and do see Forestry, so Botany seems to be one unlock requirement (added to wiki).

Am I correct in assuming that we have no new game menu Actions for Forestry?

I looked around a bit, I don't see any new menu options for forestry, just the Strike Cutting option when you right click a tree.

I hadn't realized that there were so many different trees until I saw that picture. Thats pretty cool. :)

So, what I wonder (and hope :D), will this lead to things like Apple Trees? Mmm, apple pie.

WHAT A CARING AND CONSIDERATE LAWD!

Of course, I couldn't carry the torch in the door while it is lit to light the stove, much less carry it out again after lighting from the stove with the default client. While holding the torch, the middle mouse button doesn't turn you and right clicking on the door does nothing.
