Can't please all of the people all of the time... I think considering the uproar and the points made about the downfalls of the waste claims, this was a better solution then anyone came up with (those that didn't just complain and tried to think of solutions).

Jorb is there any reason you can see why this wouldn't work?

colesie wrote:Jorb, honestly. Scrap all this dumb **** and implement rams/cannons with 24 hour dry times and 30 tile roll/shoot distance and then implement a new wall type that only they can breach. THEN reraise the brazier dmg+wall hp.
A 4 hour window is absolutely nothing for groups like the tribe as I said in the other thread. They simply camp the stake with 5-10 people and win because of it, no different than before. If you're being to be stubborn (I know you are) at least make the window an 8-12 hour window instead of 4 to actually give a reasonably long guarding time so that people actually have to invest in it.

Before any of this anyone could raid your p claim and people still had v claims regardless of them being mostly useless. And now you're QQing because you have to get a v claim? Also, you've been complaining about breaking walls and your stats for ages. In the time you've spent doing that you could have gotten the stats needed 10x over even with casual gameplay

Maybe someone like you who has been playing a lot time and can get purity seeds from friends or alts and knows how the game works, can easily get humors up with casual gameplay. But I'm still figuring out exactly how farming works and it's been tough to get where I am.

And this change is not exactly the same as before because now with a Vclaim being so much better, Pcliams will be more targeted.

I'm hoping overpowering the walls again is just a quick fix and will be changed once a more balanced system is thought out.

If this is your problem then I'm afraid you aren't quite in a position to appreciate the finer points of the issue at stake here. ;)

(Not saying that you don't have a problem. Merely that I think some sort of siege balance is more of a priority than the ability to easily fix building mistakes.)

And I don't want to sound unappreciative of your efforts, sorry if I did. I'm glad you're working on it. It's just really hard on us newbies who are still learning to build defense until it is fixed.

it's the curse of the moo troll, working against you. stop defending the people who neglect you, and start looking for people who would rather play your style, You're not a hard core raider, but you don't need to be to survive and have fun.
you don't need to oppose mm, just stop cheerleeding and start looking out for yourself, and like minded friends.

For the second night in a row I will go to sleep knowing both Mean Mike McCoy The Lord of the Candycanes and Dangerous Dan Dabrowski are (short of a double-cross), invincible until well after I will be back home from work the next day. No possibility of them being summon-killed unless a villagemate breaks their lean-to or opens up the gates.

This luxury of guaranteed safety feels like a dirty thing in Salem, and I don't like it.

Faithfully,

You shouldn't have reverted. The only real big issue was HV-switching, and that could've easily been fixed by locking down homesteads on a waste claim.

First time I have ever agreed with Potjeh I think that alone says something.
