*We will be nerfing the purity of your Braziers after the patch. 90% of you didn't know you had purity on braziers, and 99% of you didn't know what it did anyway. So carry-on. Just figured I would announce it that the "brazier purity grind" will be starting from near scratch after the next patch.

JC, I've been thinking about these Leanto pinata's and I'm worried it effectively destroys the nomad/explorer. It also seems really a steep price for those just starting the game. I'm not criticizing the mechanic, but I'd like to suggest a modification; a certain length of time, say a week, where the leanto is un-destroyable. This leads to the ability to make walls from leantos, which is already against the rules, but you could have it that leantos either can't be built next to one another, or that they lose that temporary invincibility.

Failing that maybe tents, temporary leantos that when you have a real leanto set up, it doesn't kill you. I just think exploring is an awesome part of this game especially given its size.

Purity is on structures already. The point of no purity on structures means that no static purity on structures, I.E. Purity you cannot change.

As for leanto pinatas.

No. It will stay, and players will be instructed in the tutorial to:
EITHER

A) Join a town for Safety.

B) Make sure to bring the scent to town if/when somebody pops their leanto and hire a ranger to help them get their stuff back or get justice.

C) Defend their leanto.

pistolshrimp wrote:For those not at Darkness Friday JohnCarver announced Tea will be in the December Patch and a debuff called Hydrated & Happy which they are looking for alternate names for. (Must be alliterative).

Some proposals:
Slaked & Sated
Quenched & Quelled
Moist & Mollified ¦]
Savored & Saturated
Saturated & Satisfied

Also potatoes in the January patch. The Top Hat will be able to be made, but not until February Patch at the earliest.

Ah, pistolshrimp, you must have been at the gathering to have heard both of my suggestions! However, when I proposed them, I went with "Slaked and Satiated" and "Quaffed/Quaff'd and Quenched." I find the Quaffed version best, as it mirrors the "Full" portion of the food debuff while maintaining colonial-ish lingo. Thoughts?

So does this effectively mean that brazier purity will not be metal based ? or can we expect another mine/ore nerfing ? :o

There is a mine update on the cards but it looks like this will be happening this update so I would guess that brazier purity will no longer be static and we can somehow influence it. Meaning we won't have to destroy our existing ones, just grind them somehow.

Brazier purity is indeed not metal based.
