This interaction reminds me of the type of conversation that goes "Who would win in a fight, Batman or Superman." It's all fantasy, yet we have most of the Salem community pretending that there is some sort of legitimacy to any claim made by jorb's fictional creation MushMouth.

Is their overtake of the game and frankly the forum as well something as a development team you are content with happening, or is it your intention to change the mechanics to make this sort of scenario a less likely one?

I can tell you that I never paid the Treaty, as I saw it for the extortion racket that it was. I will also tell you that I never despised them for what they did as this game wouldn't have the potential that it has nor be a true sandbox without the theoretical possibility of such an occurrence. As for the Theory behind it. Too many were ruled by too few. And too few controlled too much for too little. I don't blame the freedom that allowed what happened nor do I blame a lack of developer intervention. I believe the solution rests in a system where the common folk have the tools to rise up to their oppressors. I find the solution to lessen the likely-hood of a single faction dominating the game to be rested in a balance we intend to find on scents being far more deadly to somebody who left them.

I am also very content with this answer. I am reassured more and more that you know the game well and are professional about it, but....

I'd like a definitive Yes or No to the question floating around all day without being answered. Is MM inc. related to MM tribe or Merciless Midgets guild in any way? There are too many coincidences and lack of information about this question to say that you aren't. The Chief has said multiple times that he wanted to buy it so...

...are you MM or not?

As for immediate improvements to the game that would make it better for all of us. Give us back roses, Christmas stockings and craftable Open-Beta Plymouth Rock outfits and armor. All of that stuff was already developed and would be easy to just add back to the game somehow.

I'd also like to see some answers about any incoming wipe and new maps. One of the toughest things to deal with for us vet players are surprise wipes. I don't mind them as long as they mean new worlds but it sucks when they just happen. 2 weeks to a month warning would be great. Do you plan on keeping this world for a long time and using it to add and test content before creating the first MM world?

Bring back the live streams, like a live Q&A so we can see that you are real people and your intentions are real.

Yes, do this. Awesome idea. Twitch is sooo simple to use now for game promotion.

I hear you and believe me I can probably relate to this feeling more than most on this forum, nor do I disagree with your perspective.

What you say is true, they have yet to provide any sort of meaningful proof or reasons as to why they were chosen in the first place and I'm also very curious about their identities. All this could mean however is that they just have no real experience past the programming aspects of game development. The possibility that this is their first time dealing with an actual community for a game that they hold full rights to (I guess?) is a very good one.

With that being said, I still have some faith that Jorb and Loftar would have at least chosen a person/group of people who they believe will do the very best they can to develop this game in a positive fashion.

If I am "Crazy Champie" then I will say that Kaios is the "Slayer of Crazy" in me. My work here is done. You, Kaios, are the voice of reason, a man who can lead this line of questioning. I lack the credibility to continue past the "incitement" phase of this debate, but you can carry the banner with legitimacy. Thanks for being thoughtful in your responses.

Peace!

I don't think they are MM but I'd love to see someone with a pink name write "MM inc. is not and has never been associated with the MM tribe." Nobodies said that yet.

You're probably right about them being being brand new at this.

Well their lack of posts in this thread is also rather concerning, barely even a peep out of the Chief or his cronies? I do find that odd.

Edit: Then again it wouldn't surprise me if they were privy to all this before anyone else.
