It's still open.

The better question is if only one group has found the end of the clues. How many witches are you going to allow on the server? How many groups will be allowed witches before you take down the signs?

How many people have found clue 2? 3? the end?

There's already a ton of people quitting Popham and going back to Providence with no animals, how are we going to obtain animals from Popham to Providence if the server ends sooner than you think?

Well, I'll be quite frank here and call a spade a spade. It would be best if popham ended earlier and not later. Overall server numbers are dropping, animals are ... well, at this time.... not really fun, popham server numbers are rock bottom and I believe quite a few people actually got burnt out trying to play on 2 servers at the same time.

I'm in the same situation. There doesn't seem to be any way for us to get the animals back to Popham and they keep dying. Meanwhile we apparently have missed a clue or missed how they set up the clues and can't find the way to become a Witch, so my town of 10 people has mostly quit. They think that probably people were able to get hints or ask questions in PM's with the dev's. I personally think that people just found the clues randomly in the wild and were able to finish it that way. Either way if we can't become witches so as to have a chance of winning the game and we can't raise animals and bring them back to Providence then what the hell's the point of playing Popham?

Maybe you guys should actually invest time into becoming a witch and follow the simple clues.

I've only had 1 sheep die on Popham, if you stock up on the medicine its ridiculously easy to make sure they dont die.

Here's a picture of a sick ram:

I will agree that there's no reason to play on Popham anymore since the main point is getting animals. Aside from leaving my town to get the fish bladders, There's no reason to do anything else since I'm almost positive the majority of the server is waiting for the ferry to let animals go to providence. The other group of players that actually play are the witches who are trying to end the server.

Aside from that, you're better off switching back to providence to do stuff because you'll actually be able to keep your progress on that server. The time spent on providence with a far better established town outdoes the slower progress on Popham with the incentive being the inheritance statue. Let alone any items your receive on Providence will actually be kept.

Overall, the idea for these servers that end are good, but after the initial rush of attaining whatever is being released is done, theres no point in playing past the point to keep the animals (or whatever will be released next) alive which results in a large amount of inactive players/bases that we have now in comparison to the first month.

Claeyt, I'm really getting tired of your dissembling. This is the second or third time you've implied that someone is getting some sort of extra help from the Devs to learn Witchcraft and your slimy, devious attitude is really starting to get on my nerves. NO ONE is sharing information about Statue locations or Witchcraft clues or anything of the sort; in fact, only one person knows any of that and he graciously gave up ever playing on Popham just to keep it as legit as we can. And it doesn't matter how much you complain or act like someone else is getting help and you're not, you are not going to convince anyone to just give you all the answers. If you want to be a witch so bad, stop ***** about on the forums and go put some actual effort into solving/following the clues.

She's right of course. They wouldn't even deign to comment on an obvious typo in one of the signs, they are that tight lipped.

Regular Silent Cal when it comes to being more helpful than they feel necessary.

I think another thing is people really shouldn't feel entitled to complain about their being "nothing to do" on Popham.

The "Great Father" J.C. gave you new toys to play with, and now people are complaining they aren't having any fun because they don't want to play. This isn't Providence. The ground rules and metagame are not the same when it comes to raiding and PVP. If people are going to act like they are and remain cooped up in their claims and towns, it's just waiting till someone gets the bright idea that it's not and makes it REAL interesting.

Sure, there is still crime, and sure you can get punished, but it is not the same on a number of levels.

It's pretty clear that it's not simple.

I've asked 20 people to share info and they're stuck also. The only people who've supposedly found it that I know of are your group and Procne and both of you are just trolling the rest of us about it. Procne said he was just lucky to find it after searching an area for 2 hours. Clearly it's either too hard or is just blind luck in finding it. If it's like randomly finding the statues as you walk around then I'll just join everyone else that's quitting Popham and head back to Providence or Hafen. What's the point of playing Popham if there are only a couple of groups with witches?
