Heff, this link might explain why details that are only marginally useful to the main narrative/game are valuable. Just sayin'.

I had come to like the new foraging, if I foraged an hour or so I was bound to end up with some useful items: some 7-use inspirationals, some teasels, some drones/queens, ...
However, it seems that all those chances get drastically lowered (as well as flowers not being as nice anymore and gourds/old logs/skulls being SO rare) that I didn't get anything noteworthy for two hour-long forages.

Statistically you should certainly be getting 'something' noteworthy in a 2 hour long forage session.

I do miss the gourd for the food purposes, but the skulls doesn't seem that rare actually. I'm just next to a badlands area and a steer skull pops up at least once per day for me.

With that said though, I do wonder where all the huckleberries and yellow morels went? They used to be common enough in my area, but they are completely gone now... Are they restricted to a single biome now? Or are you required to have the "Flowers & Berries" and "Mushroom Hunting" skills or something to find them now?

And btw, love the Peyote Cactus inspirational. <3

You do not fight them. You pick them up like salamanders

is there any use in using the foraging skill now?

just seems like a major waste of yellow bile and movement speed.....

and has anyone had much luck with x7 inspirationals or seen any new world gourds or singing old logs spawn on the map?

seems the maps are just littered with these new spawns but anything actually useful (other than milkweed) is super rare now.... flowers, berries, mushrooms..... every thing...
RIP: Purity, you will be missed.

I'm aware this can also be found elsewhere, but by posting it again, it increases visibility. It IS annoying to have the radar full of stuff ;)

the cactus from badlands is missing

berries are still there, maybe a little scarcer than used to be. but morels seem to be gone as does devils worth.

Can't for the life of me find either huckleberries or morels anymore, but devil's wort is still possible to find in Greenwood areas, they just don't seem to spawn in grassland or badlands areas anymore like they used to.
