ya wall splash dmg sucked i was stun at the change. but my testing of it after balance. they did tune radius down alot. stone wall in front and sides of me was taken 90% and next wall 80%. as much as i enjoy idea how much faster it help on eating wall(russian ones).

as been in both shoes of attacking and defending.

i personal think. as defender and attacker i be happy at 50% splash dmg to wall effected by it

this should stop multi wall layer design but not complete punish people hard work have done on bases.

Why didn't you do this for the wall-splash-dmg-update ?

How am I supposed to destroy this split-rail fence without dmg'ing my walls now ??

Maybe you should have to open Sheds and Cupboards from the front only?

As a mason i can tell you this about deconstucting walls :

1. its allmost impossible to NOT damage adjected walls, floor and closly adjected structur / integraty when tearing down room and outside walls.
Mainly since the main structur / integraty that supports it all is the same thro out the entire wall.

2: however we are talking about structual damage (integraty) NOT walls / bricks / cealing / plades etc that are dissapering all together or litterly "exploding" onto the areas next to where you are deconstructing (ofcours it depends on the tools you are using too)

3: so damaging the walls by 25% - 75% depending on how close the wall pices are to the main wall being deconstructed would be normal (expected) however a 5x5 grid of damage would be completly unrealistic, same with mason / stone walls made with concrete or similar glue like substances such as "Lime concrete"

4: hench if this should be made realistic, the damage that is "splashed" onto the surrounding walls would be way closer to max 75% on the first walls that are on tiles next to the wall being deconstructed, and shockwave damage to the integraty on the areas that are 2 tiles away from the main tile would be down to 25-50% at top, with a small chance of a critical hit to the integraty that could mean anything litterly would happen to an entire section of walls.

anywhos i pretty much just finished me second wall set, its 2 stone with a wee planker slap bang in the middle. Question is tho is it totally re-effin-dundant now because of the splash damage off the stonewall? will it take into account soak damage etc? sorta would suck massive donkey balls if the planker was uesless now as it took me bleedin ages to finish

(this is a double post, im a bastard)

so we all know its possible to place things in the main city, heck who dont, but apperently a certien person who previouesly wanted to build a huge wall around the starting city is now trying with a diffrent approch called "compost bins"

as you can see in the SS this certien person whos name everyone knows (tho iam not saying it as i aint gonna break the forum rules that much)

as you can see in the SS hes apperently not satisfied with his previoues attempt at ruining the beta, now hes trying again in a smaller scale..

as you can see players quickly reacted and placed diffrent objects in town to prevent him from finishing his compost bin wall.

Can't you just destroy those compost bins? Last time I tried you could safely destroy player built objects in cities without leaving scents. Are compost bins indestructible?

unless they changed the code, you generally can not "destory" items on the NPC claim at all. which is why on roa you find upwards of 10 locked metal chests littered around the town center/market stalls.
