Yeah it's ****** time and effort was wasted but he said he was wrong and posted a solution sooner rather than later. I think we should cut Jorb some slack.

2 hours spend on finding mines on good spot... and only few tears with laughter when I read how people cry

Did you really thought that you will have 30+% mine after you found it with 0% wand?
Soon few other things will be also nerfed :)

The fact that the mines weren't nuked says a lot. At least you have a mine to use to get metal for basic stuff like defenses.

Let me see if I can sum up the reactions in this thread

1. Find bug
2. Abuse bug
3. QQ when bug is fixed.

Do I have it about right?

YEA SO?

We need to have a wipe now to even the odds for people who did not abuse this.

I cannot believe you destroyed all my crates of 33% food, and my 30% lockets too, and my 33% dross I was saving for a 2nd murder alt

I started making 33% boiled foods like maybe 3 days ago, and was like dayum ill be 70 stats in a week. But the truth is they weren't as OP as I first thought (at least for gluttony), because they massively favour black bile, and the cooldowns are make them very ineffecient. They were however overpowered as healing foods.

Im really curious now how early other people started "abusing" this, because I think some of the so called "uber" factions bought their high purity metal off us (darwoth did, also the tribe?) only a few days ago. and we are "noobs".

So I don't see how they can't have got high purity copper pots before me. not sure if we sold our 33% copper or not too, I didn't want us too

I'd like to say I didn't consider boiling purity a bug, and still don't. Just bad game design, that was known (found in providence finds thread), and I expected it to be fixed. The high purity mine nerf however seems pretty harsh, we were only playing the game the way it usually works.

It was still a bug and was not intended.

Yeah you guys ***** this up pretty fast. Sucks that people lost their mines. Might be interesting to see who exactly had those high purity copper mines and see exactly how much they abused it.

For those of you ***** about humours, I know of two people who are between 45-55 or so and they've done it with no high purity copper and by themselves with no gluttony rotation or anything. 70 average and a 98 high doesn't seem out of reach for a crew who set a gluttony schedule and fed up a specific character for all the gluttony like the tribe has without the copper bug.

Remember this was only people who were able to find a high end copper mine after digging a high end iron mine after randomly finding one or continuously digging iron mines to find one. They wouldn't have been able to find a high end copper mine with a woo woo. There's no way they had more than a few days to abuse this bug much less 2 weeks.

Darwoth is mostly pissed because he wasn't able to abuse this bug himself.

Vigilance wrote:Trust me.

Don't know about that. People will be blaming you for their 0% mines for the rest of time, but more importantly, what did you get for this bug report?

TemplarKnight wrote:so why dont you fix the titan chars now?the game is only 3 weeks old and already there are titans?

There are no Titans. 70 humours overall is not that great. I know guys who have barely played who are in their 20's.

I don't know about you, but I've been tripping on Rhode Island Peyote for a week now. :D

the map was the main reason for the wipe, and it is.......

far to large

bad design, immediately evident by the river placement around town, spotty beach width or the massive ridge stretching north/south

basically 100% flat, the terrain has very little character now.

mountains are nothing more than hills now, before they resembled something of an actual mountain creating bottlenecks.

there are no more neat areas with features like the tall "pedestal" cliffs of the old world.

biomes are to small and jumbled together.

the newly introduced biomes are obviously very unfinished.

how about a new announcement titled "damn it, we ***** up again" announcing that in a week you will be redoing it properly this time before you have everyone invest thousands more dollars and hundreds of hours of time into the game just to wipe it in a year again because of these same issues.

As the river rolled forever over the cliffs my own laughing and joy was drowned out by the roar, anger and deluge of the Salty water. I walked in the fresh spray from the falls and felt refreshed and renewed. It seemed like life was simpler and more meaningful as the water washed the world clean. The great cataract of Darwoth's Tears fell over and over..... endlessly.

Yeah actually talking about it on IRC. We bought 25% used to find 30%, then used 30% to find 33%. which seemed normal to me since I was told +/- 10%, but its all new to me. I didn't realise people where finding high purity with woo woo.
