Name your 3 petty annoyances

Here's a thread to collect all our petty annoyances, that are not directly game breakers, but do not improve the overall 'fun' there is to be had ingame
Again, I'll kick off:

1) Lime
Alsmot everybody I know hates lime chipping. It is such a dull grindy task. I've even seen players quit over lime runs. It would already help a ton, if those stupid lime boulders held 25 rocks instead of 5. Or if we could get artefacts that increase lime digging / chipping speed.

2) the RNG is too destructive in some instances
- treeplanting. Even with ygm-like proficiencies, it was still possible last world, and still is, to lose your newest, best generation of cuttings, just because the RNG rolls badly twice in a row. Combined with randomized cutting regrowth that can take 6 days or 6 months, That's a setback of at least 10 rl days (3 for the pot, 7 for the tree), that is, if you managed to save some cuttings from the previous best generation. I think that's pretty harsh for 2 bad rolls.
- slotting. C'mon. 80%+ chances, more often than not failing 3 - 4 times in a row?

3) cannot empty flour bags
- it's not fun to empty a barrel of old flour 0.5 kg at a time. I know, I know, I could just trash the barrel and make a new one. But waste not, want not. An 'empty' option on the flour bags, as there is on the buckets, would be so nice.

Liming isn't as bad now that we don't have to spam braziers. It used to be 75% of my time though.

I asked this years ago, would love to see this too, or a lime-digging machine !

I agree, managed to get 3% this world, lost all my cutlings & had to start over, i'm back at 3% again ! :(
I would prefer a small drop in alch values instead of a loss of the cutling on a bad roll.

Liming, liming and liming.
Oh and pumpkin 3rd stage growth time, and also unusefulness of nearly all pumpkins.

Edit.
Oh and waiting for smelters to finish?

1. Being able to see Garden pot purity values after firing (having to document everything via excel outside the game gets tedious)

2. There's no means of really seeing what Town coverage is before building the Bell. Every other structure I get a 'shadow' of it so I can place it just right; but with a town Bell I'm trying to count out 50 squares in every direction... notice in 'freescale' camera mode it's possible to get a full view of town.

3. Can't lock in worm in humus bins. Using scroll wheel I can quickly load/unload bin contents- but 'some' worms are meant to stay in there... be nice if we could lock some in place... and only pull the humus (and rogue worms).

I agree with the posts above about liming- but I'd wouldn't categorize that as petty...

I have a question about liming. If it was adjusted down so that the incentive to players to go above a certain number of lime was removed and/or significantly reduced. Would it be so bad? I almost feel like the opportunity for you guys to throw hundreds of it on a field is a primary reason you despise it so much. Therefore, I can't help but want to simply take that away so you can "stop hitting yourself".

The great reduction in brazier need took away a huge part of the liming / smelting constant chore - so we already stopped hitting ourself there.

Are there opportunities for further improvements that save us from ourselves? Yes.

A simple change would be to increase lime per boulder though. Maybe balancing from both sides (amount from boulder, and reduction of need) is best.

So far we like the idea of different sized boulders pulling from the quarry. Thus messing further complicating any attempt at lime botting while adding a bit more dynamic interaction in the process itself.

Yes. A lot of stuff in the game that would be fine in small doses is tedious because you have to spam it to keep up with the Joneses.

Do you feel it is an acceptable solution to simply further the diminishing returns so the life of the Joneses doesn't seem so lucrative?
