Incomming single world safe zone & memorize...

In past we had single safe zone (capital town) for each server.
How about create few capital towns for this new huge world?

Every new character would be randomly assigned to capital town, of course if he would travel to other town and after talking with some NPC he should be able to assign to that new capital.

Darkness would be in center of the world, not on west only, and darkness border could be dynamic, so capital town with less people assigned generates less "light" radius. Also capital town that would have least members could lose part of "safety" on its claim, so it would became robbers paradise, no longer 100% secured stalls?
And people would migrate or got robbed :) (of course capital security level should be visible for players)

If in new world are going to be stalls, you would have more space for them and if stalls in one capital gets dominated by single faction like it was on plymouth, people can travel to other towns and sign it as their new capital and trade there :)
In different towns could be different prices, different taxes for stalls etc etc (I've read ideas about caravans etc etc it could promote those kind of things).

More civilized town (more members) slower you can memorize people (and if they move while memorizing you have to start it again).
I know it is something small, but harder it would be to memorize someone more chances to hide he does, even in super huge world it is easy for large groups to find for example trader from forum.
And with custom clients they had (I don't know if it was fixed) tools to get more or less location of people teleporting from capital to their home.
Memorizing people is far too easy in towns, it should slow this thing down, so single person won't have all characters that were trading in capital in few minutes.

It's hard to constructively critique this idea. First it's overly complication, think of all the new mechanics that would have to be created to accommodate this idea. Second, Boston is to a choke point that pushes the population together and forces them to interact, a spread out population is half the reason for the wipe. Third, your cities would naturally depopulate until everyone used just one main city, making the whole thing pointless.

I like the idea of multipul safe zone main citys, however it would all still be along the sea border and nothing else changed. Also Everyone spawns in plymouth only. Its your job to explore to the others.

By some remote chance, they could all be called Roanoak, Plymouth, Jamestown, and you can set your teleport to a specific town by talking to a guide.

Otherwise, no.

PS: No teleporting between towns, only way is to run / boat (very fast by boat).

Forgive me if this seems ignorant, but Wouldn't making players towns with the town hall create other "towns" for players to populate? I don't know the details of how safe player towns would be. But it would really add to the believability of this games core concept, if there were players willing to actually simulate a society, in the limited capacity players may or may not be able to invest time and effort in creating such a thing.

Being unfamiliar with how the town hall 2500 silver town claim works. But I honestly expect several towns/settlements existing at some point. Instead of most pilgrims preferring to live alone or with small circles of trusted associates hiding behind walls while utilizing the teleport to town option.

Town dynamics...Allowing players to set up shops/ vendors, or trade in person directly with other players would provide some potentially fun gameplay. Hopefully, possibly? maybe perhaps there are mechanics that would allow for "security" in an actual town, similar to the personal claim. So there would be a sense of safety in a player town, and would encourage players to want to live in a larger community.
Hoping to test the township mechanics at some point, it's all very interesting personally for me. This game has amazing potential for fun and prizes, thanks for the makers for providing this opportunity among the gamer community.

I could go with a few Wilderness Trading Zones... could act like Churches... but be PVP free...

Good time to implement it... very, very few are settling in deep Darkness at the moment; but that will change very soon.
