Some Ideas: Ships and LiveStock

I was talking with my brother awhile ago and we both agreed that there needs to be a way to travel across the water with large loads and more people ( about 15 people). I'm talking about big ships like Barcas or Caravels. There would need to be a skill to make ports so ships could dock, it could be called "ship hands" or something like that. I would also like to see some sort of battle mechanism built specifically for ship battling, including: cannons, rams, and ways to board other ship by force and to be able to capture them. Another part of this i would like to see is the introduction of different ship types like merchant ships, which would go faster and could have more goods capacity, and battle ships that would obviously be more suitable for battling. It would also be pretty cool if you could do mass fishing in turn making fishing that much more a trade. Another idea that I had was that the use of livestock should be implemented somewhere in this game. I'm talking about sheep, cows, horses and pigs. They could be sold to markets as a commodity for meat, transportation, breeding etc. I think it would help with moving many things if there was a way for cows to be able to carry way more than a player or a sled could carry (like about 10 boxes) and you could have three follow you at a time.

Use search both have been talked about before and animals are already planned. Check out how they work in haven and hearth to see a preview of what may come "soon"

Ships would be impossible to do. Rivers Don't connect well at all and lakes along with rivers are small as all hell. Ships would only really be able to used on the coast to get to the capital city and with that there isn't much point since you can teleport.

You can transport alot in a boat as it is.

Hmm true it was a cool thought though. I didn't know that was talked about already, thanks for the info... when are they gonna bring animals into the game?

Well then again you wouldnt have to use rivers for ships anyways. Even in real life they dont use ships in waters that are too low. You can't travel to other parts of the coast using boats other than the main city? I was thinking people could make their own ports thus being able to make your own big city like Boston. With this i think people could potentially make many cities like Boston.

Again you run into the problem of small lakes and building a city on the ocean is a bad idea in this game.

lol and yeah that would be a bad idea i just really want this game to take on some mechanics from Uncharted Waters Online.

I wish the water system was more connected for stuff like that. Would be really fun.

They would have to rework the way water is. Would work well if more people played on the coast and there was other things to do out in the big ocean.

yeah they should put more into the ocean like you could get inspirationals that are only found in the ocean
