I can understand your idea but why do you think they have created several servers instead of leaving everyone on Plymouth ?

They did it on purpose, altough i agree a good populated server would do good, but thats just not going to work.

mmm why plymouth? why not Jamestown or Roanake

however... making a single server could be good but needs a bit much work... better if multiple servers and server transfer

Maybe they plan to implement unique regional products in each server and that would make trading more interesting. Who knows.

it would be great if every server was a region and one could travel between regions (maybe add silver cost to prevent abuse)
and by travelling i mean having to cross the entire map from one corner to the other
