Liebig Condenser

Unlike other alchemy equipment you can use the condenser only on liquids, water, oil (and most importantly alcohol when it is added). The condenser will move the chemical make up away from 25%, that is, anything less than 25% will be converted to anything greater.

24.5/24.5/25.5/25.5
would become
20/20/30/30
and eventually
0/0/50/50

of course water that is 24/24/24/28
could one day through use of this combined with the Coagulative Alembic, you could get some 100% water, potentially.

But think of the moonshine!

anything less than 25pnt isn't... a bit too high?
that will cut off a ton of grinding and alchemizing in 1 hit

I don't understand what you mean, I'm not sure if you misunderstood me or are agreeing with me or what...
By 25% I mean the 4 numbers. Everything is made up of Salt, Mercury, Sulphur and Lead, something that is 0% pure is 25% each element.

I am suggesting a Liebig Condenser exaggerates any differences.

Sounds a bit OP compared to the other alchemical equipment. Maybe if it just transferred from lowest to highest?

Have a feeling the devs will veto (ignore) it because it makes alchemy too easy if you're suggesting such extreme values in one generation. I can potentially see moving a couple of points while creating instability. They've already got a tool like this, anyway: the pressure cooker.

On the other hand, this is a condenser. It's been a while since I've studied chemistry, but if I recall right, condensers are used for separating liquids with differing boiling points from each other, such as alcohol and water. You can also use them to purify a liquid of any impurities, such as distilling water.

Oh god no, I wasn't suggesting in one generation. I even mention the fact that you would have to re-stabilise something a lot to achieve high purities.

Like I said, this would only work on water/liquids, which we currently can't purify. (As far as I know).

This is exactly what I am suggesting it would be used for. And by no means easily purifying water (if it only moved 1 point per tick, and could only be used on... IDK 1l at a time).

Excellent idea as a way to purify water.

The way to balance the strength of it is to change how unstable the liquid becomes per point adjusted, and how much water can be purified at a time. If, like the other alchemy equipment, it is expensive, lets say 3 pieces of glass and a bar of metal, then its not going to be easy to get to 100%, but it does give hope.

i was saying changing % in 1 hit (from 25/100pnt to a 10/100pnt of 3 elements and the other jump to 70/100pnt) is too high... the idea could be good but need to be discussed with the devs, as i heard now solid items are very hard to alchemize and liquids could be more instable... let's wait some time and check next update ^^
