This little idea is over, The Rights of English Men which currently enables player vs play combat. I came by a little annoyance with it not too long ago. Me and a buddy of mine, we were fairly low humors and decided to attempt at killing a deer. Well we ended up stomping each other stunning ourselves and almost letting the deer KO by our own stuns. I have a couple of ideas to fix this issue about friendly fire.

Fix 1: Have a toggle switch to turn off pvp or turn it on, once tagged for pvp combat it also is forced on. I personally don't like this fix.
Fix 2: Have everyone in your party immune to all forms of attacks from within the party. This in my opinion is the best fix, you keep all your allies in a party together while raiding and you make sure no one is hit by a sword lunge or AoE stomp.

Fix 1 won't ever happen and as you thought, not a good idea.
Fix 2 however is a pretty good idea. If parties allow people to have temp rights to your claim, why not stop friendly fire as well.

terrible idea. you need actual strategy when fighting and need to time your attacks. This isn't wow where we can just stand around with mass AOE

This has been suggested before and is not really a good idea as far as most people are concerned.

It would benefit raiders a lot by letting them attack people in their bases without much attention to strategy as they wouldn't have to worry about hurting each other. On the other hand, while hunting with a friend, it shouldn't be too difficult to just keep your distance from each other, or not use stomp.

The trend right now has been to continually make things more difficult for raiders, not less, so this is not likely to happen.

So much ignorance in this post. "you need actual strategy when fighting" I am fairly sure that even without friendly fire you will still need to time your attacks and use skill to fight a skilled opponent. "This isn't wow..." With that comment you clearly stated that you are in complete denial of the game how it works. So far you just dodged around the idea, did not apply thought processing skills to comment, and decided to bash a game and dismiss an idea without other thought. I sure hope your other 3000+ comments were actually constructive. "Best to keep your mouth shut and appear an idiot, than open it and remove all doubt."

Hey you are that one guy who reposted a old idea right? Same dude who got all pissed when his terrible idea was shot down like the last thread? Oh hey i remember you!

Friendly fire is more then likely not going away. Combat is unforgiving and if you end up hitting a friend because you guys can't work together then thats your own fault. Having a line of people stomping would be fun and all but I've seen enough wow raid AOE in my time to know its a terrible mechanic.

yeah, reminds me of when they screwed up UO by making it so you do not hit your party members, overnight group pvp turned into big clusters of retards spamming earthquake and meteor strike.

shadowbane, same thing. enter the era of sieges being two opposing clusters of centaur druids standing with their hitboxes inside one another spamming ae heal and damage spells hoping more of the opposing cluster lag out than theirs :lol:

Haven't failed to amuse me yet keep up the good work. There are plenty of other ways a party can work together than not worrying about hitting each other. And good thing having a line of people stomping w/o friendly fire wouldn't be viable at all, but i guess it would look cool if that is what your implying? And clearly you haven't seen enough wow raid in your time, but I like how you use it as an example when you have no idea what your talking about.
