I suggest adding booze! He question has always been, what purpose would it serve in the game. One idea I have had is to make booze add a small buff similiar to snuff, increasing the effectivness of inspirationals. On the flip side, drinking for miltiple stacks off this buff would i turn trigger a debuff that may last only a short time (15 mins) for ine use, up to perhaps hours for multiple uses. The debuff would make walking straight, combat, and even chat more difficult. LOTR online had a nice feature where if u were drunk chat would sss and shhhh to chat for slurring.

As much as I want to find a use to get ale or something in the game, I don't think drinking would or should increase inspirationals. Think about it, if you drink anything, do you think you would study anything better? Maybe it could give you a slight buff for combat (beer muscles). Smoking (tobacco that is...lol) should make you need to eat less, so buffs guttony.

I don't think people could handle the horrible default view mode + drunk visual effect...

Smoking cannabis could effect studying for sure have positive elements that a certain smoke/and or booze whichever, to increase the % amount you gain in a certain skill. Say cannabis would increase the %gain in Arts and Craft but lower it in say, mines and mountains or whatever would make sense/balance. Peyote would fit in nicely here, give study bonuses or combat effects but your balance is off, or you start to hallucinate and hallucinating might be a key aspect of a form of shamanism or witch crafting.
