I think that it shouldn't drain annything to make a sign..
Why , well ..

Becuse I was out there as an new pilgrim trying to find a place to settle .
So I placed the sign of my leanto on the ground , but I wasn't happy with the placement ...
So I tryed some times but I just decided to try a better spot .

Then I fainted .......
Lost all the items I had discovered and was going to sell .
Why ? Becuse the signs drained me dry ..
And I had a "smooth stone" getting studied in the backround .

I hope someone sees this and do something about it .
If not ... Then I hope you liked my little story and that it was amusing .

If you were studying something then that would've been draining your BB too, but that won't KO you, also you do not lose what you are currently studying when you are KO'd.

I agree that placing a sign shouldn't drain BB until you actually add materials to it. But its not high on my list of priorities.

And I thought you got a warning that you couldn't place an item, are you sure nothing else KO'd you?

You might have been in the darkness, and drained your BB low by placing signs (different buildings use different amounts of BB to place), and/or were studying something. The Darkness is what KO'd by draining your BB, not the sign placement.

Yeah you can't be KO'd placing a sign. It just tells you your BB is too low.

Yeah, you will never KO from studying or sign placement or any combination of the two unless you were in the darkness. They won't change darkness ko because darkness is supposed to be dangerous. If you're not hunting as you go, keep an eye on our YB, which will drain in darkness like the other stats but is easier to spot if you haven't been killing things.
