It would be sweet to be able to use paper for

•Notes, in containers
•Posters
•Novelty paper items like cards or menus

Eh? Ehhhhh?

would be nice, simple things like the ability to write notes and place them in things/on people ads a lot of depth to the game, in UO you could even write entire 50 page books.

It was incredibly strange in UO to be robbing someone's home and to find novel length books on their bookshelves. I didn't just spend 2 hours stealthed outside of your door to steal a novel, I wanted gold.

Bjorn mentioned printing presses, but said he needs a reason first. I say mail (can build mailboxes), wanted posters (can nail to trees), newsletters from villages (can have newsstands in main city for villages to sell or give newspapers from.

Parchment is reason enough to have printing presses

Writing notes and placing them in containers is very nice. Example: "Please do not use the salt seeds, I'll be on later to get them -signed"

Yes! Then we can add animal domestication and sheep with shearing and shears!

Then we can play rock paper scissors!

If we get some kind of notary in Boston, we could also have "official" documents, signed by both the parts involved. Useful as a receipt, for example.

that would be nice... many times I wanted to leave notes to a neighbor, letters, proposals for making a city... the sign is a bit clumsy for this
