We have beaver skin with a price of 12, bear skin with 60 all the rest is 4s.
We can make buckskin inlays from deer hide, but cant sell the skin for a good price.
In my opinion as being larger than any other hide deer skin should have a higher price..
What about 20 silver or so?

Given that Deer are harder to take down than Beavers, I think they should probably be worth more. They'd need to be worth a fair amount though, in order to make it more valuable to sell them than make buckskin inlays.

However, Beaver-skins were historically a great source of income for fur-trappers, so it makes sense that they should be worth extra money. Not sure why bears are, except that they are hard to kill. And that would suggest there should be a good monetary incentive for hunting Deer.

So, I agree.

Easy of killing has nothing to do with price of skins. Beaver Fur is the reason fur trappers existed during this time because Beaver furs were popular amongst the upper classes for clothing, Deer on the other hand weren't.

It's not that they weren't. There was no demand for imported deer skins because the deer in Europe had pretty much the same qualities. Beaver wasn't the only "high demand" import fur, either. It's just the only one we have in game. I'm not sure about the bear pelts other than possibly the "rarity" factor on what they should be.

yeah not saying it was the only one, but it was the major one. Look up Beaver Wars, it was where the local tribes went to war over Beaver hunting grounds because of how lucrative it was to sell them to Europeans.
