Fish Tanks

I've spoken to Loftar about this already and he's in favor of this type of thing which is nice. I've also spoken to Jorb who has told me that with the current fluid mechanics (or the lack of one) it means that we cannot easily have ponds implemented.

We currently have glass panes available to us. I propose that a few nails, 2 boards and 5 glass panes can make you one fish tank. These can be lifted when empty and crafted indoors or in mines. You add water/coarse salt (depending on the fish type) and then right click the fish you've caught into the tank. The fish then floats around inside with a graphic based on the type of fish inside (pls not one generic fish). You are able to crush up seeds and feed these fish as you would turkeys or other domesticated animals and as they breed, they increase in purity. This will add a usefulness to fishing itself, add a new industry and will give players new design options for their living spaces.

Another thing about these is that if there are ever other additions (such as lizards in badlands) you could add dirt instead of water to have a home to breed those also

Some bonuses to this:
If you keep snakes you could potentially harvest their venom (poison blades, poison for witchcraft etc)
Frogs for frogs legs/decoration/potential bug catchers
Crabs for their meat/decoration

Could breed crickets in tanks as well. Dirt and some autumn grass then feed them crowberries or something. If crowberries it would give them a reason to exist.

If you could use the tanks to breed fish, then I'm all for it! Could even make hybrids maybe. Fish not found in fishing, but only in cross breeding.

Yep, opens up tons of new industries with this and the possibility of harvesting cricket teams in your village

It better be a really big ***** fish tank, if the glass panes are the same size as the church windows.

Oh, what if we could cut glass. One sheet could be cut into two medium size pieces or four small sized pieces.

I can see this as a nice thing for smaller species, but some of the fish in game would be 3-4 feet (1+ m) in size (or larger). That's a very large fish tank if you want them to actually live.

What seems to be proposed is some kind of fish farm. Technologically Im not sure if we have what it takes in the 15th century. Fish ponds are doable, but I doubt they had tanks big enough to support this kind of venture. Many types of wild fish is very hard to keep in tanks. Attempts have been done with trout, but they dont thrive in standard fish tanks. I dont have knowledge on how easy or hard the "native" fish of North America were to keep in captivity though.
