ideas for less permadeath

i was reading today some new treads and that idea pop up in my head :)

why not if the PG who murder some1 other will "flag" the entire account?
maybe clicking on a new person you never encountered before you can see how many people he killed and know his account is put with some sort of terribles debuffs.

remember, that's for all the account

things like:
-worse crop gain/fertilizers power etc...
-maybe strongers PGs but with a faster humor drain (a body-builded man consume a lot much calories than a skinny one) wich gain stats as many player they kill... well... if you choose that way you are forced to raid/pillage/kill instead of attack some1 who wander around for no reason


hopping i just explained myself well, what about that people? some other sort of suggestions?

I've considered a few methods of dealing with the issue (well, a whole package of issues, really), and that was one of the methods I came up with.
In fact, I'm now pretty sure that permadeath in Salem is a story to scare the little n00bies. Oh, it's there, but everyone who plays more or less seriously has at least a fighting character, a non-fighting character, and a vault character to store all their valuables. And their base, that can also be considered a sort of character subject to permadeath. Losing all four in a rapid succession is nearly impossible.

Your method won't work, as limiting accounts to one character per server, because it's a free-to-play game, and instead of starting a new character when an old one dies, aggressive players will simply start a new account. Minor inconvenience for a dedicated griefer, but rage-inducing for a honest player. Besides, I expect the system to balance itself out with future updates.

Permadeath isn't an issue and it doesn't need fixing. If you are worried about dying create an alt and log him in before your main to check if all is clear.

My guess is that it's a typo or a poor translation and should be "Player Character".

I don't see how this would change things. People already use multiple accounts for things such as item storage,farming alts, and combat alts. This change would just cement it to a necessity instead of just having a dozen characters on one account.

OP that's assuming that murdering people is bad an should be discouraged, most people won't murder someone unless they have wronged them or are feeling like a jerk

I just got murdered for no reason. I was walking back to boston and he attacked and murdered me. I lost many days.
