Salem

(First im not a coder so im unsure if this is possible but just curious)

I was wondering, i know salem uses java, would it be possible to embed salem into a browser?
If so,
It would open up alot of possibility's into offering salem through other gaming websites like miniclips and kongregate. (would even generate paradox extra revenue)

Im unsure even if paradox would adopt such a thing, but im sure it would help the community develop in volume.

Well its clear they are improving the UI + graphics, so hopefully within a few weeks / months, the base client will be great enough to use as a default, and the need to enders etc will become obsolete.

Hopefully if/when this happens they could expand into new areas to draw in the crowds.

Until they adopt enders radar/Ender's or BD's grid/ender's camera options and general settings enders will always win out

The mapping tool should become a skill in the base client. Once the skill is unlocked, you should be able to create your own "world map" ingame, but it saves to your computer, and you should be able to bring up an ingame interface to check your map / location on it.

The Grid is a must tbh, and should have been in the defult client at the start. It makes the the building side of the game with regards to walls and placement of building almost impossible for new players.

Camera i agree, needs a free camera mode, i always use it.

The radar however, i do not agree. The current radar of the base client is fine. (Except its size, it needs to be bigger)

Seriously i know this sounds stupid, but it really seems that most of this player base and most of all the players from HnH want everything handed to them on a platter and are spoiled beyond all hell for how easy the mods make this game to play. "I refuse to play without XXXXXXXXXX", kind of pathetic and childish if you ask me.

EDIT: Yes i use enders, and love how it enhances my game play. However if mods were made illegal and perma bans were issued for using them, i can assure you, i would still play on the base client, and would stronger push forth opinions for upgrades to it. (I still do play on the base client after an update, why enders updates his client)

Childish to you, try playing that **** for 3+ years competitively over multiple worlds and then tell me you're not pulling your hair out without it

Then clearly it was not the game for you.

If you "must need mods" to play a game, then clearly your playing the wrong game and the game is poorly designed if you "Must need mods" to play.

Also, this is not HnH

The game is poorly designed. Loftar and Jorb will both tell you haven has needless and tedious grind and the standard client is total crap. They'll also tell you that the standard client here is unfinished and it can't compare to enders atm

And yes, I refuse to play a perma-death game if the client is fighting me the whole time. I refuse to log on to die due to me not being able to control my character properly/being able to see what I'm doing

I can assure you i will still be here and playing as well as my friends, but yea, most of the HnH players will be pissed off, but you know what, ***** them, let them all ***** back off to HnH, and let salem become the game it should with the new breed of players it deserves.

Anyways plz on topic now, discussion of Salem and the possibility of it becoming a browser game, and what the community think.

Ingame map tool would be great. The current arrangement with external tool is cumbersome and it takes a long time to sort out all the frames. Please make it possible to discover the entire world map and show it in one picture with zooming ability and a pointer where you are in the world.
